Scars...Advice please!! ??
Hi Ladies.....
I just HAD to share this......................
Although....when i took of my steri-strips (as adviced by nurse) I noticed that my left scar looks worse, and now have started worrying that it could be infected!?
Id assume that it would hurt if it was infected?? Now maybe this is normal, but i was wondering, if any of you could look at my picture trail and give me your opinions??? Obviously if i start to worry to much, i will call the nurse!
Im not in any pain with it though.
Thanks Ladies. :smiler:

Re: Scars...Advice please!! ??
Hi Vicki!
I have one scar which is worse than the other too and it's so annoying! My left breast is soo neat but my right, is neat in places but one bit is all bunched up like it's been tied off strangely/odd where the drain was in. It's very annoying as I can't see how that is going to change. I'm hoping when they drop it will help a bit.
I haven't helped at all, sorry, just a bit of a moan too haha!
You must feel great after that shower!!! I can't stop showering now, lol xx

I am not an expert, but if its not inflamed, painful or any discharge , I would say you are ok x I think soreness of the scar would be an indication if you haven't had any previous problems. Don't know if I have been any help !!!!!! Sure you are fine Vicki xxxxxxx

Re: Scars...Advice please!! ??
Your scars are healing beautifully! There certainly doesnt look to be
any signs of infection. Your key signs for infection include localised
heat, redness, itching, oozing of pus and pain at the wound site and if
it becomes a large infection you can also have a temperature and
generally feel unwell. Most scars become a bit lumpy and raised while
they heal and then they flatten over time. Happy healing!!
