Advice on scars? Empty Advice on scars?

Is there any such thing as helping the scars to heal? I'm not too sure if this is a really silly question, but at the moment they are really red raw and just wondered if there was anything I could do to make sure they heal as good as they can.

I just want perfect boobs with pretty unnoticeable scars, not too much to ask for huh smiley

I was given silicone strips at my 6 week follow up, this helped with redness and flattening out the scar.

But I would speak with your surgeon to see what he reccomends. Xxx

Massage after about 6 weeks, look after them inside and out, so keep them clean and dry and eat healthy and they will heal well.

I did all that and still had problems lol.

I'd follow the advice misf1 has given, it's not worth paying out for silicone strips and other expensive healing aids if they're just not necessary hun. Massaging the scars 'after' they've healed benefis them greatly as it's this that breaks down the scar tissue and helps to flatten them out to a nice, flat, neat line.

Take your healing a day at a time. Follow the advice given by YOUR surgeon babe. If you naturally scarred well on other scars you might have, then chances are you'll have a nice scar from your BA too. I haven't heard of anybody here I dont think who 'after healing' with no complications during recovery have been unhappy with their scars sweetness, so I'd personally save your pennies hun. xx
