Massaging your boobs?
Hi,
I have read a few things on-line that massaging the top of the breast will help them settle etc. I haven't been told to do this by the clinic but should I? Has anyone else massaged their breasts post surgery?
Thanks xx

Re: Massaging your boobs?
Most implants used in the UK are textured, the ones you've probably read about that require massage are smooth.
You haven't been told to massage by your clinic lovely because its not necessary. Textured implants need stability to enable them to adhere to the pocket so unless specifically requested to massage your boobs by your surgeon it's best to leave them alone. Xx

I've been told not to massage at all under any circumstances!! I have the polyurethane "furry" implants which stick to the pocket like velcro and apparently if I massage them it can cause all sorts of problems like internal bleeding which can then result in a haematoma or it can aggrevate the capsule and actually cause cc!! Just follow whatever advice your surgeon has given you xx
