Re: Massaging
Hey Sophia. Do you mean boob or scars? Has your surgeon specifically told you to massage your boobs? Or are you going by the Dolan Park Booklet? I'm not sure you should be massaging your boobs unless explicitly told to by the surgeon. Others would be able to confirm/know more.
If its scars, then just a few/5 mins twice a day is fine :)

Re: Massaging
The scars I can do now also I just gently rub in the scar stuff ok circles but the nurse told be from four weeks to massage so I have to use palms and difficult to explain but go from tops of them and just push down along them if that makes sense and to use palms on the sides and move hands from the armpit towards the nipple that's what I was told to do I just don't know how long for or how many ? Re: Massaging
I would give you clinic a call hun, all surgeons advise differently. I'm sure they will be happy to tell you how long you should be massaging for! Xx

Re: Massaging
Have you been told 'by your surgeon' to massage your breasts Sophia?
You have textured implants and these 'do not' require massage. The covering of the implant is specifically created to adhere to the pocket all by itself and to do that it requires 'stability' babe. If you massage your boobs your moving that implant around and not allowing it the time it needs.
Surgeons will generally only ask a patient to massage if they think their patient has stubborn boobs that won't drop, or if they suspect early CC xx

Re: Massaging
That's what I was worried about, I know the THG leaflet says about starting boob massage after 4wks, but I think that's very misleading, as Ive read on here so many times to not massage unless you've been told by the surgeon. As it was the nurse giving you instruction Id be a little sceptical. Ask to speak to your surgeon to be doubly sure, as you don't want to be doing something that hinders your recovery at the nurses instruction.
