Post by butterfly7713 26th August 2012, 7:58 am

Hi hun, we have to sleep at angle to help with the fluid/ swelling (head higher than your heart) and also if you lay flat it bloody kills in the morning (morning boobs) .I think it helps whilst the implant is adhering in the right place to. LAst time I had it done I Think I slept like it for 2 weeks. I hate it and can't wait to sleep properly at night. its killing my bum. Hope your well hun xx

You'll be able to sleep in a normal position when your nurse/surgeon gives the all clear - generally when swelling is no longer an issue.

If you're struggling try putting a pillow under your knee's to relieve back ache. Also a hot water bottle where it aches can do a world of favours! Sleeping upright is awful though, but won't be forever! x

Hope you have a good night Pammie. I am going to try the sun lounger in my bedroom tonight lol isablle25 as I laid on it in the garden today after what you said and it was bliss. It leans back to the right angle and felt better on my bum straight away so hopefully a better night tonight. It wil be weird not sleeping next to Hubby but I really need a good nights sleep! xx

Haha dont worry! Thats only what i do! I sleep propped up only a little and only sometimes. I do sleep on my back but then I get morning boob. The only time I have mornng boob now is when I sleep flat. It can last for months but I'm sure everyone is different

I hated sleeping upright but every day I built a little fort of pillows around me and slammed my V pillow in the middle , hooked a few pillows under my knees and made wee arm rests , I looked like some high maintenace queen but it was all good ! I think it was 2 1/2 weeks in I starte to reduce all the height, I know it took 31/2 weeks for me to lay partially on my side , and 8 weeks befor I was free an easy to move about,

I found using a little cushion called a KUSH Inbetween my boobs really helped ! And hen I got morning boob I used ice on the side ad over the sternum ,

Here is a link for the KUSH , they are great : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

All the best girls !!

I rolled onto my side last night in my sleep and even tho I was on my bra it felt like my left boob had fell off. Soon woke me up!!!
