Re: sleeping
Did you actually get told to sleep on your back and propped up for a certain period?? I was never actually given instruction on his to sleep, I just slept like that as long as I could as it supposedly helps with drainage, reducing swelling faster, I stopped when I couldn't sleep comfortably anymore as well xx

Re: sleeping
I asked my PS about this when I was about 12 days PostOp, and he told me to keep sleeping upright for at least another 3 weeks, I'm about ready to go out of my mind. My back is killing me, and I miss sleeping on my side. Think I should just email today and find out if I can sleep on my side. Urg.
Apparently sleeping upright helps with drainage, swelling and also helps your implant settle in the pocket, so that it doesn't end up in the wrong posisiton whilst everything is still healing. So you don't over-stretch the pocket. I don't know how true this is.

Re: sleeping
i slept upright for 1 week, but kind of half on my side as i literally couldn't sleep!! I was told that was ok if i was comfortable. I was sleeping normally, not at all upright by day 10 after i'd seen the nurse and she said it was fine xxx
