very sore boobie is this normal?
Hi All,
Really just want a little reassurance...had my op on Sunday around 6.00pm...still feeling sick and my left boobie really sore...and very very swollen,( twice the size as right boobie) no stabbing pains but a lot of discomfort. My right boob isn't sore at all and looks pretty good infact just how I wanted it or expect it to look.
Is it normal to experience this? I know it is early days and don't want to phone hospital just yet if this is normal.
cheers
x

Re: very sore boobie is this normal?
Congrats on having it done after not being sure Shandy!
It sounds quite normal to me from what I've read on here. My left one was slightly more swollen but definately has ached more and given me much more problems than my right one! I've read ots of times of one being a lot more swollen than the other though, so it seems quite normal x

I think you should call your clinic because if its twice the size that doesnt sound very good, i would call just to make sure. Usually there is one a little more swollen or both the same

Congrats, sorry to hear you are feeling a bit poorly x
My left much more swollen than my right for a few days, and although swelling gone down my left is still quite sore.
Did they give you any antibiotics as a precaution?

Hi
Yes I have antibiotics twice a day......it's kind of reassuring that others have one swollen boob...
it's noticeable..will keep an eye on it......and phone clinic if not better by tomorrow...

I think you are wise to ring and ask advice, some difference is usual but if you have such a big difference I think they would want to see you to check all is as it should be. Take care xx

I agree, there shouldn't be a very big difference - don't feel bad about giving them a ring - that's what they're there for :)
A xx
