Reccomendations for scars?
Hiya lushers,
At 7 months PO my scars are still really thick and prominent. I've been using bio oil since my boobs were reborn but they're still pretty terrible.
Can anyone recommend anything?! Even my ps says "they're still quite red"
Do them silicone gel strips some girls have talked about have any impact after so many months PO?
Thanks pet lambs x

Re: Reccomendations for scars?
Hiya, I'm only 2 weeks post op but I've been recommended to use silicone gel to help with scars. I've been using Dermatrix which you can bet from boots [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] twice a day.
You can also get something called 'heal gel' which is silicone gel with arnica which was created by the MyBreast people [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Hope this helps. I can't believe how bumpy scars are after surgery! Xx

Aww thank you!! I will def try that!
Yeah the bumpiness settled down as I think what you're still feeling is the internal stitches and they do settle down :) but with mine it's the colour if them that's bothering me, but I'll get some of that gel. Thanks chucky egg x

Re: Reccomendations for scars?
My boobies are a year old now & my scars are still quite dark. Some days they look worse than others. I used the silicone sheets for a while but they are a bit of faff to remember and dont stay in place at night without a bra.
Maybe I should try the gel? Or will they continue to fade with time anyway. Not sure they are bad enough to revisit the ps.

Try kelo-cote scar gel! It's absolutely amazing for scars, I had a huge red one on my arm which was really lumpy and unpleasant! Unfortunately I exposed it to the sun when it was healing so it's still red but totally flat!
I've tried silicone sheets but I found them irritating as they wouldn't stay out.. This just outs an invisible clear film over your scar and tends to stay on most of the day. X

Re: Reccomendations for scars?
I've been using the Heal Gel that sunshinelady recommended. My scars are not very visible already. My PS recommended three types of gels: Heal Gel (which is his own gel, and the one I chose), Dermatix and Kelo-cote. I don't know how much difference these make after a few months, but for 30 odd pounds I'd give it a go? xxx

Re: Reccomendations for scars?
I used Cica-Care silicone gel sheets. I found the sheets did help to flatten and soften out the scars using this
Out of all the thing I've used though, I found massage the best, using any moisturizer or oil you like as long as it gives you a nice slippery surface, then small circular firm movement over the scar to help break down the scar tissue, take away the redness and even the scar. xx

Thank you so much sexies much appreciated!
Cookie I will try massaging them properly as I just normally kinda rub it in for about 2 mins - which obviously isn't working!!
