Re: scars!!
Hiya hun, dont use anything on your scars until you have had the all clear from your nurse/surgeon, usually at 6 weeks. I wasnttold to clean my scars but i would say clean cotton wool and water (im sure one of the other ladies can help with that one). Again, if you have been told to change your strips do it ill the nurse says u can stop and your scars are usually healed by 6 weks.
As for what to put on them i would likie to know too as mine are so so dark! x

Ask your surgeon as many say different things
2- what is good to reduce the visablity of the scars?
Theres no real way of reducing visability as everyone heals differently, look after them early on i.e dont get them wet, massage them when allowed to and use a scar reducing cream like dermitix/maderma
3- when u take ur steri stips of to change them, what can u clean ur scars with?
Nothing
4- when do u stop using steri strips?
Usually after 2 weeks but ask your ps
5- how long does it normally take for ur scars to fully heal?
Over a year/until they turn white/silvery

Re: scars!!
I didnt clean mine and was told not to put anything on them (like soap etc) until fully healed at 6 weeks. When you bathe they will soak a bit and thats fine hun x

Re: scars!!
I didnt use cream on my scars and wasnt told to. I dont think you can reduce them they just fade on their own in time. I didnt clean them with anything either, just when i had a shower i patted them dry, and dried them with hair dryer before putting clean steri strips on. I stopped using steri strips when i ran out. Im just over 10 months post op and my scars are practically nothing now x
