I really dont know myself hun, but I'm sure the thought of them is worse than they actually are. Most people dont seem to mind them.

They're not something I'd be concerned about at all lovely. I was like yourself when I was told I'd be having drains and to be honest I'd heard some awful things, but from my own experience, the only pain I had with them is that they were a pain in the derriere to carry about with you to get to the loo! LOL

Honestly babe, they're fine, I felt nothing as they were removed, some women here have reported at worst a sting as they are removed, but they're taken out that quickly, it wouldn't be worth registering lovely.

I just followed instruction and breathed deeply as the drain was removed, infact I hadn't realised they were out and was still sat there stupidly heaving as I breathed hahaha.

Dont worry about it babe. Just enjoy looking forward to your new boobs. xx

I totally second Cookies comments, I had my BA on Monday & had drains, they were fine, just a slight pulling feeling when they were taken out but not painful. Between the drains & the drip mind, you may need a little help to go to the loo! But really nothing to worry about xx

I've thrown up at blood tests, passed out having my ears pierced... Even passed out watching my friend have her tongue done so I'm not strong stomached with things like this but the drains were absolutely fine!!!!

You don't feel them when you have them and tubes were long enough to put the drains on the floor! When they were removed I was really nervous and felt a little dizzy spell coming on but the nurse said take a deep breath and when you're done they'll be out! It's really nothing to it and you don't feel any pain so don't worry! I had minimal swelling and no bruising so from my experiences they're well worth it! And if I can survive them anyone can! X

They are not bad at all. Just more a fact that it makes it more difficult to get to the loo if you have drains and a drip. Some PS's are not using them any more...when I had my 3rd op he didn't use drains but had for the previous two ops. xxx
