healing nipples!

Hi all,

quick question about healing after nipple lift.

just wondered if anyone else has experienced same as me. 5 weeks post op and my boobs are looking great and Im still pleased with everything. The only thing is, on my left nipple there are a couple of places where the dissolvable stitches have come through and not come away like they should. In these places there are holes which im worried wont heal up? they are definately not infected and my nurse said to leave then uncovered a bit to let them dry and stitches will prob then fall out or disintergrate. my right nipple was the same in a couple of places but has healed well and the holes have gone. I guess im just a bit worried incase these couple of holes dont close as time gets on. Other than these my scarring is fantastic so far.

hey sweetie.sorry i have't got a clue what i would be best to do BUT could you maybe call your clinic and explain that you're a bit worried and that you need a little reassurance. Hug

I have rang clinic and they say its ok unless infected, which it isnt. they did offer to see me but its a bit of a trek! i just wondered if anyone else had had these 'holes' and do they close up?

As you say your other nipple was the same in some places but they have closed up now, im sure it'll be just different rates of healing, one is quicker than the other...which is normally the case. xxx

I had a small hole and a stitch hanging out for a while. I had a crease incision. It was like a hole but it had began healing from the inside out so was closed and the implant was fully sealed in. It healed up and sealed up well though, so try not to worry.

As for stitches, your body will get rid of them in it's own time.
