Re: Does arnica really work ?
I took it for a couple of days because the pre op nurse suggested I should but I had no bruising at all from day 1 so don't know if it would make any difference.
My surgeon said it was my call - as far as he is concerned homeopathic remedies are not scientifically proven and therefore he had no comment either way.

Hi Trisha, you can find more discussions about arnica here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I bought the cream because the pills were not available. However, I think that the pills are more effective. My surgeon had no problem with me using it, why don't you ask your surgeon to see what he thinks?

I took it for 3 days before & 3 days after. My surgeon highly recommends it. I had no bruising at all! It is difficult to assess whether it works or not, but certainly no harm in giving it a go xxx

I didn't take it and still had no bruising... Well one faint little bruise at the side but that was it.... Prob worse if u have unders I'd imagine or how easily u bruise or how rough your surgeon is?
I didn't know about it before, if I had I prob would've taken it just in case but like I said turns out I was fine anyway x
