Arnica
Hi guys, I wasn't recommended to take Arnica so didn't take it as trusted my surgeon, but was a bit worried as so many of you are recommended to take it.
Anyway wanted to post as I didn't get any bruising at all!!! So if anyone is told not to worry, then I wanted to say that it worked out OK for me.

Re: Arnica
Thee is no proven medical evidence to support arnica having any healing power at all.
Those who believe in Homeopathic remedies do feel this does have some healing properties.
I've used this for one of my surgeries... The one like Tink I bruised like a peach, as I always do when having surgery... So I personally don't believe in the healing properties of arnica at all.
But.... If you're told to take arnica by your clinic then then its very important that you do. If its part of your pre-op instruction you could avoid your aftercare if you don't take it.
If you're not told to take it... Then the choice is yours. Xx

Re: Arnica
The pack I got sent said to take it before and after the op so maybe he's changed his mind lol. I'm not too sure whether I believe in it or not, but I'll give it a go and we'll see hey...Specialkj wrote:Hi guys, I wasn't recommended to take Arnica so didn't take it as trusted my surgeon, but was a bit worried as so many of you are recommended to take it.

To be honest though, I think if you easily bruise you will have bruising, just as people prone to stretch marks will get them irrelevant of how many lotions and potions they use :D xxx

Oh no to the bruising, at least it's not somewhere visible to everyone, just not nice. Suppose it just goes to show u never know.
Just sharing my experience but recluse we all advised different things and we all respond differently too.

Re: Arnica
I never took Arnica, I just didn't think about it and it wasn't mentioned.
I often give it to my horses if they have an injury, because the worst it can do is nothing and the best is help with the healing. So I suppose either way it does no harm.

Re: Arnica
I took it and didn't bruise at all. Or bleed from my scars at all. And I thought it may have helped with the swelling lol. Could be wrong xx
