Arnica
When should you start taking it before the op? and what stregth should I get?
I'm not going to bother with the cream as Khan bandages for the first week and hopefully my bruising will have gone down by then anyway.

Re: Arnica
I was told not to take it as there is no proof it works and having been on the forums for ages i would agree, as many girls who took it got loads of bruising anyway, some who didnt take it got no bruising. It just depends on how gentle your ps is with the whole process. I usually bruise very easily but i didnt have any and took no arnica.
If your ps has recommended it its usually 30c strength x

Re: Arnica
I took it as it can help with swelling and the overall healing process. I took 1M (3 tablets in the morning under the tongue). I'd had dental work done previous to my ba so had been taking it for a good few weeks before anyway to help with healing my gums.
I would agree with Nads that there is nothing proven that it helps but nothing proveN that it doesn't either which was why I took it! Personally I think it is good but who knows....

Re: Arnica
Hi hun
At my pre-op the nurse said to me it is not proven to work, but if you want to take it you can. Obviously she said that you would not know if you took it whether its worked or not, you may just not bruise easily! I was advised if I wanted to take it then do so for one week before and one week after xx

Re: Arnica
I took it 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I do not know if it made a difference. But just before I had my BA I fell and hurt my foot in silly high shoes ( i will not reveal if I was drunk or not lol) but I had a very faint bruise even with the arnica, it went within a few days. Normally my foot would have had terrible brusing in this circumstance. So I think it did help.
Re: Arnica
I'm taking arnica started a couple of days ago, I'm taking the 30c strength.
There's no proof it works but I'll give anything a go, x

Re: Arnica
I agree with Nads and Dancing_Diva. My PS has told me there has been alot of publicity about this but its not proven to work. I guess it up to individuals really. Im not going to bother x x
