Good luck with the consultation and make the most out of it! I always think I asked everything and then, the day after, questions start coming up again.

Thanks girls!! All done! He was really lovely :D x my choice whether to go round under or anatomical over..... I'm totally rubbish at making decisions!!!! I've got another mini free consult with Leicester Spire on Thursday so will have something to compare! Was quoted £4650 and £4850 respectively.....was kinda hoping for around £4k mark, so this is just pushing it a bit but my OH says to go for it :))))))

So, stircrazy....why book before New Years Eve??

Glad it went well and you have choices! As you know there are pros and cons to the different options, guess you'll have to weigh out what's more important for you. If you're still confused you can discuss it again if you have another consult with him. It'll be good to hear what other ps's have to say.

I know it sucks that the prices are higher at mybreast than other companies, I was hoping to pay less than £4900 for uplift, hoping more for £4500, but I'm going with what feels right.

Stircrazy, are the prices going up after new year? If they give you a quote without mentioning it has a one/two month limit surely this is the price regardless of future price rises? I was also given a quote somewhere else, and they clearly stated it was good for six months.

You'll start the new year with a new you, sorta like a fresh start. Just my thoughts hun, its your choice and of course that's all that matters.

Hi Roxanne, thats the thing, in the scheme of things a few hundred squids is nothing to have the best care etc but it costs £400 to stay over night.....could get a lovely hotel for half the price ;) but it is more than that isnt it? Its a big op and youre paying for the after care arent you? Have you been anywhere and had a quote?

Stir crazy.... Youre right! And I want feb/mar op date so if I book before newyear I know how much money I need!!

Oh how blummin exciting!! Hee hee!!

If you live locally, depending on your surgery you may be able to get away with being a daycase, I was offered this at the first place I had a consult because I live 15 minutes away, PS there doesn't use drains. Withey on the other hand uses drains, and I live a couple of hours away. A hotel does cost less, but that also means I can't be alone and I'm not getting all the care I'd be getting at the hospital.

As I previously wrote, my quote at mybreast is £4900 for a lollipop uplift no implants with overnight stay. The other place I went to, Nuffield Ipswich through a private practice is just over £5400 daycase for same procedure, plus I had to pay £100 for consult. In the end, I've decided go with mybreast. It's less money with an overnight stay, though some of the cost is offset by travelling to London. I felt comfortable there and I really like Withey, I specifically asked for him, and I'm due to see him again in two weeks time.

I'd like to have my op in Feb/March as well! I too need to sort out a few finances first. Plus before xmas is never a good time, we're busy with work and the kids are off for a couple of weeks. Exciting, we might be getting our ops at around the same time!
