Re: On morning of op
Hiya, babe.. I'm not sure on this one but i'm guessing they would probably prefer it if your hair was dry so that you didn't get cold at all during your op. It's important for you to stay warm during surgery so I think they may require dry hair.
On the morning of my own op I had a quick shower, scrubbed myself clean and I just wore my hair down and loose. they didn't ask me to tie my hair up or anything for my op so I just kept it down :) xxx

Re: On morning of op
When I got into my room they asked me if I had showered that morning which I hadn't, I had had a shower and hair wash the night before, so they asked me to have a shower and I could use my normal shower gel but no deodorants or creams etc. I was asked to put my hair up in a bobble they had no metal on it and then I had to put a paper type hat thing on over my hair when I went into theatre. Your hair will need to be dry babe as they want to keep you warm in theatre so maybe wash it night before and plait it once it's dry. Xx

Lucia's right.. No question can ever be classed as silly on here. I remember asking the question 'is it possible that my surgeon put a smaller implant in my right boob accidentally because it looks much smaller?' How silly I am haha xxx

Re: On morning of op
Hey, I had a shower and washed my hair the morning of op as admission time was 1230. But even when I got to hospital they wanted me to have another shower as well.
This was weird as I went in to hospital with quite nicely smooth hair but woke up atter op with it slightly curly, still wondering how that happened (have slightly wavy hair anyway)

Re: On morning of op
It'll definitely need to be dry. The GA will give you the chills afterwards, and you can feel very cold from the shock too, so dry hair is a must. You may be asked to put it in a metal free bobble, but I was told just to have it all in the hair net. I showered at stupid oclock in the morning, and it was a good job too because there wasn't time when I finally got into my room. But they may ask you to have a rinse down. No strong smells, perfumes, deodorants etc.
