The morning after
Morning girls. Although I slept on and off all day yesterday, my night wasn't too bad. I took painkillers about 9pm had a fresh ice pack and settled down about 11pm.
A nurse woke me at 2am to take my BP then I fell back to sleep again. I've been awake since 5am. I felt really stiff and thirsty. I'm not in a lot of pain at all, just feel more umcomfatable. My arms are still, can't reach out for my drink etc but am managing to take myself to toilet :-)
I'm having the drains took out soon, which I'm worried about. Can't wait to see my boobs later when the straps come off. Hope my sports bras fit. Xx

Re: The morning after
Don't worry about the drains babe. You'll be fine. When the nurse comes to take them out, look away and inhale deeply in and out, focus on your breathing and not what she's doing and you'll be just fine. I never felt a thing following these instructions I was given.
Glad you sound like you're doing well hun. Xx

Re: The morning after
Thanks girls and thanks cookie for your advice. I did as cookie said and it didn't hurt. It just felt a little weird. It was a little tender when she put the plasters on but that was it. She took off my tapes, which was a little sore, then fitted me with a band that I have to wear for two weeks then sports bra for four weeks. :-) xx
