How long to hold back on housework etc?
How long was it before you girls got back to your housework etc after your BA?
I am 5 days post op and I have dusted and done dishes, put a couple of washes in the machine. I had my little sis over to hoover for me but it's killing me to sit back and not do it myself. (nobody does it better than us) I am feeling good at the moment, still get sore when I wake of a morning and get the odd aches and shooting pains. The last thing I want to do is do too much and tear my incisions open!

Hi huni I was like you and felt ok so did all my housework from 5 days but I did to much and caused complications which resulted in me not being able to do housework for 7 weeks so my advice would be rest up and take it easy as long as possible! I know it's hard huni but it will be worth it. Xx

Re: How long to hold back on housework etc?
Hi kizzy, I got seroma and severe muscular contracture causing my right boob to swell enormously and sit really high up. It's still higher and more swollen than the left now and I'm nearly 10 weeks PO but I'm told it will drop so fingers crossed.
Everybodys different huni and dont want to scare you. Most ps advise no cleaning for at least 2 weeks anyway and then ease your way back into it. So whatever your doing just take it nice and slow and rest when your body tells you. Xx

Oh yeah I had unders to which I think makes a difference especially with the muscular contracture as it was my muscle that pushed the implant up because I was using it to much xx

So glad I read this post, will be taking it easy from now on in. I have had partial unders so dont want to have any muscular contracture or seroma. I find it hard to sit still and even though my partner is off and very helpful found I couldnt help but do a few things today with visitors being due to arrive. Lesson is learnt. Thanks. XXX
