How long to wait before you can push up cleavage? Empty How long to wait before you can push up cleavage?

Post by alymomma 12th October 2011, 3:51 pm

Hi ladies,

Here might be a lame question...only a month PO, and yes, my twins are still somewhat firm on the sides, but more softer in the middle (near where my cleave would be at lol). My question is how long did you ladies have to wait before you actually had cleavage (like if you wore a nice bikini top and a nice bra)? As stated, my twins are still a little firm on the sides, incisions still tender, so I can't really push them up yet, and I know there's talk of waiting for them to drop more and fluff...that way, I think they'll be softer and easier to push up to actually have some cleavage.

What was your time frame of having to wait before you were able to push those babies up and have some nice cleavage? :)

Thanks girls!

Iv been advised to wait 12 weeks until totally out of sports bras but I guess everyone is different.
Iv been told 6 weeks day and night and then 6 weeks of day wear... this will take me up to new year so fingers crossed I can ring in the bells with my puppies looking their best in a nice bra :) x

Im guessing when you feel more comfortable and when your breasts are mre softer then you can start pushing it up?? Just do it at your own discretion . Right now my outer side boob is softer than the inside of the cleavage .. I'm 1 month post op right now

My PS said it was ok for me to wear a regular bra with day wear, with no underwire, but to continue wearing the sports bra at night...I also like to wear the sports bra at night because they keep the twins snug and secure and in place lol...it's like my security blanket...can't sleep without it on.

Like you, 12 weeks will take me into the New Year, and I can't wait to push these puppies up!!! I will be exactly a month post-op tomorrow! That's around 4 weeks, so I know I still have some time to go obviously before hitting 6 weeks! I wish time would hurry up lol.

Thanks Dina...yes, like you I will be 30 days post-op tomorrow, except opposite of you in that the sides of my breasts are more firm than the insides are were my cleavage would be...for me, it's a little uncomfortable when I try and push them up...using discretion like you said because I don't want to hurt myself, and don't want to be uncomfortable.

I would almost check with your PS hun, they all recommend different things. Mine also said 12 weeks before underwire bras....so I assumed that meant "push-up" bras as well!

You just don't want to do anything that would void your aftercare, or that would hurt your new investments!!

Hi alexandra,

Yes, good call...I think I'm just being inpatient as I can't wait for booby cleavage!! :-P I definitely don't want to void my aftercare or do anything harmful to these beautiful investments! Time just needs to take its course and I need to just quit being so darn impatient lol!

I can't wait for bikini season and to invest in some new beautiful bras!

Thanks girls!

I waited at least 10 weeks, to be honest didn't feel comfortable at all.
I'm now nearly 4 mths post op and underwire push up bras r very comfortable(but still wearing my support bra to bed!habit hard to stop, don't want to damage my new boobies!!)

My surgeon told me today that normal bras will not damage my breasts at all.... you wear a support bra to support them and that is it, and for swelling etc. he said wearing a normal bra may make them sore.. but no damage will be done...!?!?! he said i could wear a proper bra for a party tomorrow for a few hours, but to then go back to support bras.. and wear support bras whilst i sleep for as long as i can.. months.. years..!! I am only 11 days post op.i bought the bra in my avatar today and it fits perfectly .. underwire does not even touch my breasts as they are so pert, just rests against my rib cage snuggly.. it felt very comftable for the 5 mins i had it on in the shop and the 5 mins i spent taking photos earlier. I guess every surgeon is different, just listen to yours and no1 elses x

I had to wait 6 weeks to be able to wear a push up bra and even then my cleavage was not great cause my boobs were still very firm. I had to wear a bra a couple of sizes too small to get a cleavage. At about 6 months they were soft enough to get a very good cleavage
