It depends on your area's waiting list, so no one here would be able to tell you really, unlees theres anyone also from your area of glasgow who is also on the wait list. After the Psychologist appointment you'll probably have to wait to be referred to see a surgeon who will have to approve your surgery as well, then you'd go on to his waiting list for the actual surgery if it is approved. Im not sure if they have it in scotland but you could always ring up PALS (Patien Advice and Liason Service) and ask them how long the psychologist wait is. I've found this for you [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

So If the facility your going to be going to is there you could give them a ring, or try a goole search yourself if its not there.

Although, I know the system is slightly different in Scotland, so I might not be right about the waiting above (but I think the only difference is that you dont have to wait for a PCT to approve your funding, which I've missed out above anyways). Either way, prepare yourself for quite a long wait until actual surgery day and a possible rough ride......the NHS route is not an easy one!

Good Luck! Xxx

Hey adele19,
Not sure if this helps you as im in Aberdeen, but I had to wait just under 3 months for an appointment with the physcologist. It's been a week since my appointment but was told it could take up to 2 weeks for them to make a decision.
Hopefully you will hear from them soon
