How long b4 you can push together/create cleavage?
Hi, I'm just over 3 weeks post op, still wearing my sports bra. I was just wondering how long approx it is before you can push your boobs together ie create a cleavage? I had 230cc. They are still quite hard although I have noticed that they are starting to soften up a bit. I have tried gently to push them together but they seem to be stuck in the same position! Also, do most people wait the full 6 week period before wearing a push up bra (just for 1 night) or have some people worn one after say 4 weeks???

Re: How long b4 you can push together/create cleavage?
hi there, i am just coming up to my 6 wk post op stage and off for my 1st messurement on Sat. i have been living in my sports bra for the whole time (aprat from an hr or so in the evening, only to give myself a breather). i have been living like this as this was the advise i was given from my PS. you should follow the advise from yours as some differ . . . as for the clevage question, mine started to move at about wk 4? like i said i'm coming up to wk 6 now and i can push them together now, so cant wait to get a sexy new bra to show them off to their full potential. . .
hope this helps. xx

Best to follow the advice of your PS, I think most people say you should not wear a bra with wires in until at least 6 weeks post op. Have you got a special occasion you want to wear something nice for? (sports bras do tend to show more than normal bras) Maybe look for a prettier post op bra without wires, I got one in Asda that has smaller straps, a bit of lace round cups and only 2 hooks on the band. xx

Yes, mine started to move a bit at around the 2 to 5 week mark too (with unders). I was told 12 weeks before underwires - but I must confess I was going out for an evening last week and I'd bought a really nice bra in the LaSenza sales so I just couldn't resist wearing it, but I was 6 weeks by then and completely healed.

I was told 6 weeks for underwire but to be honest i could only wear them then for short periods of time i.e. not all day. I tried to squeeze into an underwired corset for my hen do at approx 4/5 weeks post op but it lasted approx 10 seconds as was agony ha ha

Re: How long b4 you can push together/create cleavage?
I had unders about 8 weeks ago and they have been softening gradually, but this last week seems to have made quite a lot of difference and I can push them together pretty easily now.
As for bras, I went out all excited at about 5 weeks to buy some ready for my 6 week check but didnt buy anything as they didnt seem to flatter. I think probably because they weren't quite soft enough. So Im going again this weekend.
I do have one that fits now and tried to wear it, but like Janey said it was so uncomfortable I took it off after only about 5 mins! So I'd say you should do a test run and see how you feel, or take a comfy bra out in your bag to change into if needed!

Although I can encourage my boobs together they are still very firm (I am also 6 weeks post-op) although I haven't worn anything other that sports bra's I have tried on a couple of underwired bra's I have picked up in the sales and although they look great (compared to pre-op) you can tell my boobs aren't in their final position ready to be supported if you know what I mean! Being unders they still have more than enough built in support!!

I was wondering this too - although only 3 days post op so a tad premature!! So excited about when mine finally start to drop etc, very impatient! But i know the wait will be worth it!

Re: How long b4 you can push together/create cleavage?
thanks for the advice everyone. Janeybird, I must say yours look great in your avatar. I did have unders, 230cc. I was a small B to start with. I don't think mine look as big as yours though. I wish I had gone with the 260s now!!! I can't believe I was sooooooo worried about looking too big. I really stressed this to my PS but once they are in, especially with unders, they don't look that big do they. I wish I would have joined this site before my op. Also, in hindsight, I wish I would have gone with a slightly larger size on one side as there was slight asymmetry which didn't really bother me then but seems to be more obvious now they are larger. I don't know whether I am just being too perfectionist in this respect. I saw 2 different PS' who both agreed that the same CC should be used on both sides although the difference is more obvious now I think. Anyone else had a similar result ???

Hi pet, it might be that one side is slightly more swollen still than the other side (think of them as being two separate distinct operations) and you will have many more changes to come as they drop and fluff.
