10 months after op, advice please!
Hi girls,
I haven't been on here for ages after the initial addiction straight after my op.
As I said I had my BA 10 months ago now and I'm not entirely happy. My main issue is that my boobs still have a lot of upper pole fullness and in a bra this looks ok, but without they are a slightly odd shape as my nipple is quite low down. Also when I bend forward I can feel my natural breast tissue come down lower than the implant.
I breast fed 2 children and I had very small and emplty boobs. I was adviced to go for round impants and at the time I didnt question this as my surgeon said that was definitely what I needed. However Im now starting to think I should have had anatomical.
I've done a bit of research and as I understand it they are suitable for saggy (but not enough to need an uplift), small boobs of skinny woman - thats me! Although I have also read that some people believe that it doesnt make much difference what shape you have as gravity affects the round implants into a teardrop shape anyway...
My question is: Is it likely that the implant will drop down and I will gain more lower pole fullness, hence pushing my nipple up higher? Or is it more likely that I will age very ungracefully, just having my natural breast tissue drupe lower and end up with nipples pointing at the floor!?
Im thinking about seeing my surgeon again, but Im nervous. Is there any real chance that he will admit he used the wrong implant and re-do them?
If anyone can give me their advice I would be really grateful - thanks!

I'm sorry I can't help you, but if I were you I'd go back and see my PS. It sounds to me like double bubble. I've been researching this as I'm due to have an uplift with overs, but want to go with unders so I can go a bit bigger, as I've only been offered 295cc. I'm not sure if your implants will drop any more. I think that the ladies here say it takes 12 months to get your result, but I may be wrong. The only way to get rid of the double bubble is to lower the implant to the level of the natural breast tissue, which can be done by changing the implant to over the muscle. Or to lift the breast tissue to the height of the implant. Ladies with more knowledge will be along soon to give you more advice. xx

I would definatley seek advice to see what your surgeon says, as it does sound like dibble bubble, maybe you could research that to see if that's the problem, if you were on the verge of a lift then the implant will only enhance what you have there already have, but not sure if you were borderline or not?

I saw my surgeon today, 7 wks post op. I have same as you, slim, breast fed 2 children and was left with sad empty boobs, lots of skin, no volume. My right looks great, had 310cc but my left looks like all my breast tissue hanging off end. If i lean forward naked they are a bit weird (pointy). I now have to wear a strap for 3 months to encourage the high implant down. I can see if it moves down a little my nipple will sit right. Transform said I was borderline uplift but Davison said no. He said 1 in 50 with a high sitting implant will need a re-op. He chose my size as I had to trust him to achieve best result. Post children boobs are tricky because we already have stretched skin.
Do you think, or your surgeon mention that your implants are still high on your chest wall??

Hi. Not sure if this is going to be helpfull or not. But my sister has the same problem, her nipples are also pointing downwards and she has a lot of upper pole fullness, she had hers done about 5years ago, under the muscle. I actually discussed this with my PS, and he said it might be due to the fact that the PS that did hers didn't sever the muscle at the bottom of the breast properly, this allows the tendons / muscle to grow back and push the implant upwards. He said that he is very aggresive when it comes to this and makes sure that there are no tendons connected so the implant can drop.
Can't remember what he called them (tendons / muscle / etc)lol. Maybe speak to your ps and discuss this posibility.
He also said that if she goes in to have her nipples made smaller (they are big from pregnancy) she can have this corrected via that incision.
her original surgery was done via the armpit, she also had very empty small breast, 34AA.

It sounds like either your muscles are holding the implant too high in which case you may need a revision to allow the implants to drop. Or you were boarderline for a lift and may need a lift. Or maybe a placement change from under to over. Might be worth asking one of the resident surgeons. I would go to see your ps for answers
Re: 10 months after op, advice please!
I don't think it sounds like double bubble as a couple of the girls have suggested, and I also don't think it's that he's used the wrong implant.
I think what you say about leaning forwards and you natural boobs hanging lower, is just because with unders the implant and your natural breast never totally 'become one', there will always be the muscle separating them so I don't think that's much to worry about.
As for too much upper pole fullness, it may be that the implants never dropped quite enough during healing. I'd say after this long they're unlikely to change, but I've seen girls on here have a re-op just to release the muscle a bit more I think. So depending on how bad it is, that may be something your surgeon would suggest. And if you did end up having this re-op you could change to anatomicals at the same time but you'd probably have to pay for the implants. x

It's sound similar to mine. My problem is that my mplant doest have enough projection to push my old skin out and lift my nipple up. I had low profiles so m is east fixed with a bigger mplant but you may need a lift. Good luck.

Ah thanks girls, I'm so glad you responded!
Surfgirl, Mr Davison was also my surgeon! I'm in Ashford. Maybe its best if I go and see him...although I cant help feeling bad, like Im criticising his judgement, and like you I trusted him to make the right call.
Mrsm, I think you might be right, maybe it will always be like that because of the placement.
Its only slight so I can live with it as long as it doesnt get worse.

Re: 10 months after op, advice please!
hun u sound EXACTLY LIKE ME!! i had mine done 5 months ago, and was borderline but told i would only need a ba. Anyway, i feel like my boobs r flat and long... there is NO lower pole and LOADS of upper poleness!! i had a second opinion and the second surgeon told me the implant just needs to drop. i have the same issue as you regarding natural breast tissue hanging over the top. so im waiting to see if the implants do drop. If not im complaining, cos i was blatantly spose to have a lift!! would you like to see my pics?/ and do you have any i could see too???

Re: 10 months after op, advice please!
I'm nearly 8 months and my implants are still quite high. especially one of them. Under the muscle can, i have been told, take longer to drop. when i bend over i can feel the implants have a weighty feel. it feels really wierd but i put that down the them being implants and my natural tissue moving around the foreign object.
I just wanted to ask as well; how is the sensitivity in your nipples? I haven't got pleasure sensation back yet and its worrying me.

i havent got any sensation back yet either on my actual nipple or the areola area, its slowly coming back on the skin around it and i hope eventually it'll come back in my nipples too! i had areola incision so im not too worried about the time, i kinda expected it to take a while to come back!!

Hi jen86, I haven't got an account with pics set up but I'd really like to see yours if thats ok, and I'll let you know how mine compare! Or I can email you a pic.
Hi HighMaintainance, I remember you were waiting for you op when I was on here last! Sorry to hear you haven't quite got the perfect pair yet. As for nipple sensation my right is totally back to normal - although its the implant that sits the highest. And the left is totally numb, although a better shape....maybe there is something to the theory that the right wasn't severed enough...
