Wrapping you in dressings!!
Hi girls just had a quickie!!
My friend as work seems to think that you should have your breast wrapped up in the dressing for quite a while as this will help with the direction and placement of the implant?!?
Is this true? Just she will be going with The Esperance in Eastbourne through BMI and I want to with Transform...in her pack it says she will have the dressing on for about a week?
Is this something that is a part of every surgeon's procedure of a matter of the PS's preference...and instead just leaving them on for a day?
Please let me know girlies....I dont want to have nipples going East and West ;D
Lots of Lovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee x x x x

Re: Wrapping you in dressings!!
hey hun
some ps's do strapping where the whole booby except the nipple is covered and some do not!! it's the same as drains at the surgeons discrretion shouldn't see why there'd be an issue if ur not strapped as ps's wouldn't choose to not strap if they thought this would mess up ur end results!! from what i know my surgeon (from transform) doesn't use strapping but does use drains and i've seen some of his results there awesome xx

Re: Wrapping you in dressings!!
Capsular Contraction - is one of the main problems that can occur....in one of the sections, or google. Will give you a good description of this problem which is something ypu definitly need to think about as it can occur, I think I read somewhere 1 in 7 women....think its where the scar tissue heals around the implant too tighly causing pain and hardness....dont quote me pn thaget sometimes lol x x x

Re: Wrapping you in dressings!!
All surgeons are different hun. I had steri strips covered with Waterproof dressing (like big plasters) over my scars and that was it but others have their boobs totally strapped up.

Re: Wrapping you in dressings!!
i only have small dressings on my scars, about the same size as what sally had by the sounds of it. i also wear a chest strap and no bra for the first week. all surgeons are different hun. i believe there is no right or wrong way x

Re: Wrapping you in dressings!!
Yes CC is capsular contraction xx sorry my bad
Some surgeons use them others don't xx it's just their personal preference xx
The strapping is normally on until your first check up 7 days later and hurts like buggery coming off xx

Re: Wrapping you in dressings!!
Awww thank you so much for all of your info girls....do you think it is something that you might be able to ask your PS to do?
I can only think of it as being a benefit?! I guess Ill just have to ask what his thoughts are on this for doing/not doing it :)
Urghhh....the idea of that being taken off :s ekkkk lol.
