High profile vs teardrop shape.
Another question (sorry!).
From having a look around the site alot of you have the high profile implants, is there a lot of difference in the end result? I've been having a look online but am finding it hard to find before and after pictures of the teardrop shape ones to be able to compare.
Thanks (again!), x

Re: High profile vs teardrop shape.
Profile is different to shape - i.e there are 2 basic shapes, either round or teardrops. These both come in different profiles (how much they project forward, if u r looking from side), usually low/mod/full/extra full. The surgeon you see at your 1st consult will help decide which is best for you.

Tear drops are usually used for women who do not have a breast shape to start with, from what I can gather.

Re: High profile vs teardrop shape.
Teardrops are meant to give a more natural "slopey" shape, however a lot of surgeons tend to not recommend them as you can have a very similar result with round implants, especially if they are unders or partial unders (meanng places under the muscle), and you avoid the risk of the implant "turning" which apparently can happen with teardrops (although it's rare). However, what your surgeon suggests very much depend on your anatomy and the result you're after, so it's a conversation to have with your surgeon of choice. A couple of girls have had tearsrops here and hopefully they'll be along soon and may be willing to share their pics once you have posted for a bit and they are more familiar with you. x

Thanks moonmar, I didn't want to ask anyone for pics just yet as I've just joined and if it were me I'd be a bit suspicious!

Thats me Jemmy Should have said WAS me
I have anatomical moderate profile unders. However, I think round's look good, sometimes better, from the pictures ladies here have shared.
There is soo much to consider, best advice is from your P.S. as they should take into consideration all your body measurements and outcome you require. Also different manufacturers implants have different dimensions for same profiles and cc's
I have learnt soo much from the ladies here (after my op) so great you are trying to get the best info and support before. All the best in your journey. xx
