I keep reading about the different profiles but I didn't discuss this with my surgeon and he didn't bring it up? As far as I'm aware I'm just having "overs" but now I'm concerned I should have mentioned profile :-|

The profile ordered for me was never mentioned either so I asked my PCC today and she said extra high profile, she said they normally use extra high, that was THG

You've plenty of time before surgery day Misty, so it would probably be best to make an appointment to go through this with your surgeon. It is important that you're aware of everything pre-op and in agreement to ensure you're happy post-op. xx

Im going for an assessment with the nurse a week before so hopefully I'll see my surgeon then and discuss it x

CUI don't have an extra high profile babe, only a high and a low profile. Xx

What actually is the difference between profiles? I'm having quite a large implant so wonder which I should go for. I will discuss this with my surgeon but if anyone has any views that would be fab x

The higher the profile, the more forward projection you get and the narrower the base width. The lower it goes, the less forward projection you get and wider the width of the base.

Thanks cookie x I'm guessing not many would go for low profile if they want "bigger boobs?" I'm going for a largish implant so if they were high profile would this make them kook even bigger?? Sorry for being confused, I just don't want to get it wrong. I want bigger but not ridiculous, but I don't want the stuck on look. Xx

The profile isn't dependent on how big you want your boobs to look hun. Its all about the BWD

The base of the implant has to 'fit' your breast width dimention.

So you can ask for as much forward projection as you want from a specific profile but if the base doesn't fit you aren't going to get it.

Basically, the slimmer you are, the narrower the breast width and the narrower, the bigger you are the wider breast width and the lower the profile.

For a larger girl, she could achieve as much forward projection from a low profile as you possible could from a high profile... The CCs are just distributed differently to accommodate the different body type but to help achieve similar looks that look right on that body. Xx

Hi, I currently have a HP and am going down to MP. Might they look smaller? He is going from a 360 to a 410 or 460! I get so confused. I am well built and not a skinny girl but not fat if that makes sense!?! x

It makes sense Jay. Especially given your work outs that you'd have a wider chest.

No, they won't necessarily be smaller hun, the CCs will just be distributed differently, so you'll be having a wider base to better fit the breast and more CCs so you're still getting that forward projection too. Xx

Brilliant! Thanks for explaining. I was taking to a girl at work today who has had a BA and asked her if she could flex her implants and she said no! I honestly thought everyone could...ha. xxx

Thanks Cookie. That means a lot:-) Starting to get excited for it. Have been getting my diet and exercise sorted for when I have the op. I am also going to Turkey 4 weeks post op which is something to look forward to! Its been very stressful and no one in their right mind puts themselves under a GA 4 times in 4 years without needing to...so am sure it will be worth it. Will be more active on site now I am starting to look forward to it! x

And roll on Turkey! Sounds like just the tonic for the last of your recovery, to be able to lie on a sunbed drinking cocktails in the glorious Turkish sunshine rather than home in bed with the rain pounding on the window and a cuppa haha. Xx
