Re: Telling your DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree it must make them feel a bit uncomfortable talking to us about out boobs lol! I know what you mean about it being personal Madalena. I didn't want to tell anyone about mine, if anybody asked I would be honest but I just didn't want the attention. Turns out my mum, sister, and a few close friends know now! Word always finds a way of getting around lol!

I wouldn't REALLY have shown him... lucky he didn't call my bluff! But still, a good padded bra can hide problems, but it doesn't fix them like actually having a BA will. Thats why we're all here talking about planning, or having had the surgery, isn't it?!

Re: Telling your DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha, good topic...
I don't plan on telling my dad, ever. I'm not all that close to him. The traits are share with him are my perfectionism, stubbornness and a tendency to be highly opinionated. But he's very strict, very traditional, and was brought up in an entirely different culture; where he's from, as I'm often told, I would have been married off to someone else as soon as I was 'able to bear children.' We've clashed a lot over the years and he disowned me a few times through my teens; I talk to him now and then these days, but not in the same way I talk to my mum.
I plan on padding my bras more and more in the time leading up to my op so that the only people who'll know will be the ones I don't mind telling - as for everyone else, they may not notice, or if they do I can blame it on a hormonal/weight fluctuation or a change in medication (contraceptive pill and that) or just growing up and being a late developer or something. My dad will be one of these - he's not going to know I'm going away for a few days so he won't even be able to ask where I am or which hospital or why, and if he notices anything different he's not going to say anything because that's what he's like.
I also don't really plan on telling anyone else in my family either to be honest, though on my mum's side they're much more 'normal' so I think if the subject came up and maybe it was one of those 'omg implants ALWAYS look SO OBVIOUS' kind of conversations then I'd just have to jump in with a little correction ;) but I don't plan on making a big deal of it with anyone. Personally I think the expanding bra padding thing is the way to go!

barbiecon I am so sorry I have only just seen your post! I hope your op went well and you are recovering ok! Bet ur made up its all over and done with and you finally have ur new boobies!!!!!!
Pixie I'm sorry you and your dad dont get on well. I think you have the right idea about the padding! I wear that much already that I know no one will notice I have had it done, its purely for myself and for when I'm on holiday so I can finally start feeling comfortable in a bikini!!!!! I can't wait!!!!
