Telling your GP
Hi
Was just wondering when you did this and what did you do ?
Did you make an appointment to see your GP and tell them or did you just call up and inform the receptionist ?
Thanks

Re: Telling your GP
I'm not sure if all surgeons are the same but mine wrote to my gp so the next time I went to see her about something totally different she brought up my ba. I guess its up to you though if you want to tell your gp yourself first. xx

Re: Telling your GP
I remember ticking a box giving them permission to tell my GP, so guess I will just leave it at that.
Not really worried either way just wasn't sure if it was something I was supposed to be doing..
Thanks girls

Re: Telling your GP
I didn't have an option in my GP knowing as I had to get my GP and consultant to OK me for surgery as I have an auto immune disorder.
Re: Telling your GP
I went in to chat to them about it and the doc said she could not comment! It meant I wasted time off work for nothing!
MYA who I am going with will tell my GP by letter just so they are aware of it I think.
Lots of love

Re: Telling your GP
I went to my GP as I was going abroad and I wanted to make sure she knew. She was great, really supportive asked me some questions to make sure I knew what I was doing and looked at any scars i have to see my skin heals well. She also said she would be happy to help me if i had any complications on my return.

Re: Telling your GP
I went to a clinic in Prague and stayed there for just under week. I wrote a lengthy BA story when i got back then deleted it by pressing the 'back' button!!! i never got round to writing it all again!
