little upset!
morning ladies,
had a rather upsetting couple of days. Found out my brother has told people about my ba so i have now had to tell my mum because if someone one back and says ooooo i here vikki is havin a bob job and i hadnt told her there would be even more grief coz i hadnt told her. So now all i get is well havent you got something better to spend you money on etc etc which is pretty much on the money what i thought she would say. now the whole family will know as well (never been one to keep things to herself) I could throttle my brother. Why dont people understand how much it affects your life they way you look at yourself . Sorry for the rant ladies

Re: little upset!
Sorry to hear this Vikki :( Over time they will come to accept that its your body and your decision, I think you will be surprised how quickly they will come round to the idea. My parents were not thrilled at all when I told them that I wanted one, but by the end they were very supportive, it was as though their attitude changed over-night!
I know it seems awkward now, but they will come round to it, its just a little shock to their system for now.
Just remember that it's your body, and if it's what you really want and its going to make you happy thats all that matters :)
No matter what happens we are all here for you and there are so many girls on here that share your enthusiasm!

Re: little upset!
Awwww Vikki c'mere babe
That really wasn't nice of your brother to do babe, this was your choice to make and who you told.
But... what's done is done lovely, so just brave the storm. My parents and husband were against my surgery too, I just stood my ground hun and went through with them my reasoning for a BA, although they understood, they couldn't support my decision, except for my husband. he never agreed to my having a BA but he did support me.
You're a grown women now hun and need no-ones permission to have a BA, if this is something you want then if they have an opinion that's fine babe, remember we'll all entitled to that, but you also have an opinion and ultimately, no matter any one elses opinion, you will have the final say.
Be strong babe and we're here for you should you need us. xx

Re: little upset!
Oh that wasn't very nice of your brother :-( my parents also came out with the same comments about money when I told them about my BA and they were not happy I was going ahead with the op. Once I explained why I was having the op and how I felt about my body, not being able to feel happy wearing certain clothes and going to the beach they changed their view and then became really supportive and even took me to the hospital for my op. Its probably a shock for them at the moment but I'm sure if you talk to them about why you did it they will totally change their views x

Re: little upset!
some people just cant keep a secret to themselves :( i'm sorry to hear this but i'm sure it'll die down after a while, just keep your head up, its your money and your body, if your not happy with your boobs and you can afford it then i say change it!
my parents are really traditional and quite strict, i'm lucky though because their attitude is, if you not happy with something, why live with it when you can change it, they paid for my nose and my first ba, but i have to pay for my one in august, and i'm using my savings which is abit of a bummer but i need it done so sod it :D dont let people get you down!!! BOOBIES!!!!!!

Aww honey thats so out of order for him to do. I cant really say anything different, so many people have had people close to them let them down. We've all done this for us, dont let anyone make you feel bad about getting them done. We're all behind you 100% x

Re: little upset!
That wasn't very nice of him to do. You gotta stay focused on why your doing this hun and think of the end result. Everyone will have an opinion but at the end of the day your doing this for you and thats all that counts. x

Re: little upset!
What everyone else has said. Your brother has been a numpty, but they do that sometimes.
At least it is out in the open now so you can be proud of your boobies without worrying who will notice.
FYI I have gone from A to E and can cover them up ok if I want to, so you don't need to show them off if you don't want to either. Enjoy them, you must have really wanted them to get them done in the first place.
