So upset...
So i finally broke down last night and had a good cry.
I spoke to my mum and DH and told them that i thought they were too bigna dnthat i had made a huge misstake and that i didnt like them coz they were too big.
This has been going on the last few days and i think its coz every bra that im trying to wear is rubbing me under the arms and round the back and where the strap meets the cup.
My arms are also sore from rubbing against my boobs when i move.
It finally came to a head last night after i had bought some new bra's and they made my boobs ache coz their wasnt enough support so put my sports bra on bt coz its so high at the sides it rubs me all round my arms. So i ended going to bed with just my strap on and crying my ayes out and now im worried that ive damaged my boobs as this mornign my nipples seemed to be lower.
How are all you ladies coping with this rubbing or is it just me..... please help xxxxxxx
Sorry its a long one!!!

Awwww :( x x x x
I know your surgeon said you can wear bras, and that's fab! But maybe they're not ready yet... Your still sooo early...I'm 7 weeks and im still in sports bras. Most people are only told they can wear normal bras after their 6 week check, and even then I've read people saying that they're not comfortable yet. I tried a bra on yesterday, and although I'm close, my boobs still didn't sit in it proper yet.
You will still be swollen and high and all kinds of recovering at under 2 weeks post op. please try not to worry about size or not fitting into bras right now as everything you describe is to be expected x x x x
Sorry I can't help with all your concerns but needed to reply in some way x x x

Have you seen my picture trail? If you look at the difference just between 1-2 weeks and 3-4 weeks you will see the difference in the shape

My bra's have been running to hun but so has my strap, I have considered putting Vaseline or plasters on to stop the constant rub! Also I think talcs supposed to be good to! Maybe you should try a different bra though? I'm considering buying Macom too xx

Re: So upset...
Aw gorgeous xx c'mere
Sounds like you have a touch of the boobie blues, which is perfectly normal xx I remember crying alllllllllll day one day after my first op xx BUT it does get better xx
The asda / tesco cheaper bras don't tend to give you much support hun xx some of the sports / post surgery bras can be too tight and can work out quite expensive xx
I found the ones below were the most comfy, maybe you could get DH to take you to the shops today to try some on?? You don't need to be fitted, just take a load of different sizes into the changing rooms and see which one feels most comfy
I reccomend;
The Royce This one was SUPER comfy for me xx
This M&S one comes in loads of different colours and I found really comfy and supportive xx
Take it easy hun it will get easier xx Hope this helps xx

Forgot to mention that the Royce one which you can get online is quite stretchy and forgiving, so not imperative that you try it on

I moved your thread for you K
Are you able to get yourself out to go and get a fitting lovely?
Is there a Bravissimo nearby or a specialist lingerie shop?
A debenhams maybe? Seeing as you aren't having much luck sweetheart I do think it's going to be best to explain to a fitter all of the problems you've been experiencing. Don't worry about discussing your BA, think of them as part of the health team caring for you, they've heard it all before.
Get them to fit you into a 'high impact' sports bra. When you get the right fitting lovely, you won't suffer in this way and things will start to feel a whole lot better xx

KAY THAAAANKYOOOU!!!!
Ive just looked at your M&S link to find that it is the bra that i bought this morning which is waaaaay comfier bt i was worried that it wasnt a proper sports bra so i shouldnt be wearing it!!!! :)
YAAAAAAY FOR U, ......AND ME!!!
p.s
The cashier thought i was the worst shop lifter ever as i had left this bra on adn put my other asda one in the box as i couldnt face taking it off lol bt she opened the box and looked at me.....
I ended up pulling my neckline to the side and whispering 'Im wearing it' lolololol :)
I did go and pay lolol surely she should realise that i wouldnt be stud infront of her if i intended to steal it!!! lololol :)

Re: So upset...
Happy to hear you're feeling more comfortable now, it's really quite a difficult time initially after a BA... you have so many expectations in your head for what it will be like and it's always the little things that get you by surprise.
You are early PO hun and believe it or not it WILL get better. You just have to be patient hun xxx

Re: So upset...
Im feeling soooo much better today :)
My skin has started to calm down in my new granny bra ;) lolol and i actually slept last night without walking up with the most horrendous morning boob and wanting to cry lolol :)
I went to bed last night looking abit like a mummy though lolol as i had on:
One white cotton bump band that i had with the kids as a boob tube.
My doctored large macom that is waaaay too big for me so i sowed it last night at the back to make smaller lolol over the bump band
2 flannels under the bottom of the macom to stop it from rubbing my ribcage where the other bras had made realy sore
pantyliners and cotton pads round the arms and shoulder straps to stop it rubbing there and a vest top to try and keep the lot together!! hahahahahahaha
Whatever works lolol :)
Oh and socks between the boobs to stabalise lolol :)

Re: So upset...
Aw hun, I remember the discomfort of swelling and it is quite hard sometimes to get comfy, so I really feel for you. It will get better and they will go down a little and stop rubbing your arms at the sides.
Re: So upset...
Thank irls im so glad ive got you lot to moan too!!! :) xxx
Starting to feel alot better about them now, even starting to feel my chest muscles relax and stretch as they drop, lefty still dropping faster than righty.
Much much more comfy now and feel almost normal apart from morning boob!! :) x
Im so looking forward to my nips facing up like they used to instead of down bt i shouwed DH last night and he said 'wooow their healing well' so he's obviously not as scared of them as he was origonally!! :)
xxxx
When do you nips start coming up again?
And also my left nipple is compleatly numb!!! :( xxxx
