Unders looking square and boxy?
Hey,
Was never aware of this until coming here....is it true that partial unders can look a bit boxy when they are first put in?! omg i'm scared, i'm having partial unders.
ALSO
might be a silly question, but is partial unders the same as 'unders'?? Because I don't know if im in a very small category of people, because most either have 'overs' or 'unders' .... don't really hear many people with 'partial unders'
Thanks guys! xxx

Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
In the US most people have unders and I rarely hear of people having overs. From what I have read partial unders are not the same as being completely under the breast tissue.

Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
Hi singingbabe,
I've just had partial unders so I may be able to help. Partial unders are when the implant is placed partially under the chest muscle (top bit) to give a more natural shape - it is mainly used for those of us who have very little natural breast tissue &/or are very skinny. Full under the muscle placement is more rare & mainly used for reconstructive surgery e.g. After a masectomy.
I had exactly the same concern as you about partial unders looking boxy or square straight after surgery. I can safely say that mine are in no way boxy or square looking! They just look like normal boobs just quite high up & kind of pointy - but this will go soon & they will look even better than they do now!! I know that some people do initially get a boxy/square shape but that it does go away after the boobs have dropped & fluffed.
Hope that helps. Good luck with your BA!

Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
i had partial unders and mine are not boxy, dont think mine could look any more natural xx
Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
If you go on You Tube and type in BA there is a PS on who explains the difference... Full unders are under the whole chest muscle (side and top). Partials are just the top of the chest muscle and this is the most common 'under' technique in the U.K. I think the majority of girls who've had partials class theirs generically as ' unders' me included.
Hope this helps hun xx

P.s mine don't look boxy either but do seem pretty high just now. I had anatomicals though so that can make a difference too I expect. x

Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
im having unders....fully under. hope mine dont go boxy...i hadnt heard of this. i had to have an op a couple of months ago to remove a lump and have been left with a scar and unusual shaping (along with my nearly non existant tissue) maybe that is why they have gone for unders with me. i just want normal looking boobs xx

Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
Hi Kayleigh I really wouldn't worry, it sounds like your PS knows what he's talking about. Sometimes too much info isn't always a good thing co we tie ourselves in knots over things that may or may not happen! Go with the flow and take advice from your own PS. You'll be fine xx

Re: Unders looking square and boxy?
hi, i had partial unders, where the implant is placed 2/3 under the muscle. they looked a little boxy for the first few days, but that was at the bottom, not th top. now at 9/10 weeks post, they r looking more like real boobs, n have no boxiness to them x
