Square boob post op
Hi ladies
I have notice from photos that some implants create a square boob post op but the polyuthene (furries) seem not to. I am having the furry conicals over the muscle and I wondered if it's the placement (under or over or dual) that may give the square shape or the implant type?

I don't think it's anything to do with immant type, it's more because the implants are brand new when first implanted, and can take a few days/ weeks to settle into natural shape. I have the furries and I definitely had 'square boob' for a week or two after! X

Re: Square boob post op
The square boob, or frankenboob, is down to a couple of things. One, they're box fresh, so have been lying flat for however long. Two, they're being squeezed into a space that there wasn't before. Your pocket, whether over or under, needs time to stretch and accommodate the implant, which can distort the shape for a little while, couple of weeks. This can happen regardless of implant. It might be less noticeable with the furries because of their material. They're firmer than say, Allergans, especially a 95% fill, so may not squish as much under the pressure of your skin and muscle.
The thing to take away here though is that it's perfectly normal, and it does even out in time, so it's nothing to worry about.

Oh I definitely had square boob / frankenboob as its sometimes called. One boob was worse than the other, but it's all completely normal and varies greatly from girl to girl, we're all so different.

Thanks ladies, I understand that it's nothing to worry about and even the frankest frankenboobs have progressed to be simply stunning, it was just an observation xx

Re: Square boob post op
Everyone's boobs settle at different rates, dependant on implant size, skin tightness ,muscles etc it can take a while for your body to adjust & accommodate the implant.
For some it can take a little longer than others & they can look strange for a while whilst settling but all perfectly normal.

Re: Square boob post op
I never got he square boobs but have seen pics of it. Just that were all diff I guess.
Mine are healing at diff rates too [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], I can feel my right one is higher, tighter and hasn't dropped any. Yet my left one is a lot softer, squisher, lower, has a crease under. .its my favourite of the two, hope rightie catches up (although rightie that hasn't dropped yet looks amazing in a bra from side cos it has loads of upper fullness! )

I'm liking what I've heard/read about them.
Hoping they'll give me the natural look I'm after.
How many surgeons did you see?

Re: Square boob post op
I only saw one, his manner, qualifications and knowledge was enough, I had seen him before about a tummy tuck ( but I chose not to go ahead at this time). Think most people check out 2 or 3 surgeons though, from what I've read. There is a few ladies on this forum who have furries that have been a great help with questions etc. Best of luck x

I'm a big believer in seeing a few if possible but also if you feel that something is right you have to go for it.BkozK wrote:I only saw one, his manner, qualifications and knowledge was enough, I had seen him before about a tummy tuck ( but I chose not to go ahead at this time).
