Re: Surgeon burns a patient during BA
Absolutely disgusting!
I really can't believe the cover-up of something so serious! How on earth did she think she'd get away with something like this not coming out! - She deserves all the punishment she gets and I hope they throw the book at her!
These surgeons are the people we put our faith in! Our lives are lierally in their hands when we're on that operating table! - It's bad enough the woman was burned - It's dispicable that the surgeon tried to cover this up and instruct the rest of the staff not to disclose the events that happened!

That is bad xx It's now an honesty an integrity issue and like you said Cookie she should have the book thrown at her for that alone xx

Disgusting and quite shocking that 1. they could let this happen in the first place and 2. that she told the other staff not to do/say anything.

So am i misf1, You literally put your life in their hands and you would hope that they look after you. I feel so sorry for the lady as she will probably never trust anyone again to operate on her. x

Re: Surgeon burns a patient during BA
omg i just read this, its disgusting i cant believes a proffessional had the pure nerve to ask people to cover it up.
The fact that they get paid a lot of money to do a procedure that they could in thoery do with there eyes closed, makes it worse. If she had been honest from the beginning it would of been more honest.

The fact that she has tried to cover this up is actually the major problem. I work for a surgeon and know accidents happen (not great for the patient, but we accept risks and complications) but the fact she tried to cover everything up is horrendous. I hope she gets struck off.
