Post by willows 10th April 2013, 9:28 am

emailed pc yesterday just saying my pre op went great now its only 1 week until my op jsut want to make sure the size i decided on is correct in my notes (i emailed her before the chosen size when i booked my surgery date which was 6 weeks ago). i said the surgeon reocmmended either 310 325 or 340 and i definately want the 340.

She emailed me back yesterday saying she wants to speak to me on the phone to discuss implant size so i gave her a ring back and she said it was noted down 310CUI or 325/335natrelle. I said no at the consultation after showing him pics he said the 310 wouldnt give me the volume i was looking for so to either go eith 325/335natrelle or 340CUI and i chose 340 as i didnt want to pay extra for natrelle and i didnt want to regret size so chose 340 and have paid in full for CUI implants. She said she has put it down in my notes and has contacted the surgeon and told him what i have said and said on the day 'to push him for that size' (like i was lying or something she made me feel like i had to try and get him to give me the size that he had already offered me!!)

it feels like everything is a problem these days when it shouldnt be how annoying !

Get this sorted before the day. You absolutely must. Is there anyway you can go back and see the plastic surgeon? In my very humble opinion, the patient coordinator is a cross between a sales rep and a secretary. You need to clarify with your surgeon darling xxx

You should definatly clear up the size issue before the day, the last thing you want is to get there and your surgeon say oh but we only have the 310! X good luck Hun x

Okay, we'll that's a shame but if that is the case then so be it. Make sure you make it known when you arrive that this is priority to discuss. They do have all the sizes at transform hon so don't panic in that front. Although a call to the hospital might put your mind at ease.

Can you email your PS at all, or call him?

I'm sure you'll be fine lovely. Try to relax. I agree it's shoddy to have to worry like this and telling you that you have to "push" for something you've already agreed on is appalling xxx

She replied and everything seems ok:

Hi Rebecca,

I have notified the hospital that the 340 size implants are too be made available on the day of your operation.

Please don't worry, I did speak with Mr Chantarasak yesterday and your notes have been documented that you would prefer the 340 CUI implants.

Hope this puts your mind at ease.

If there is anything else I can help with please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

Least i have it documented in an email now aswell

Transform stock CUI implants as standard and buy these implants in bulk hun. They'll have plenty of stock at the hospital in the CUIs so I wouldn't worry about the surgeon not being able to get the 340s for you willow. It'll be fine.

If it were the Natrelles you wanted then they (with Transform) are ordered in by request so if it were these you wanted and you were unsure I'd suggest you ensure you hadd your oder willow but CUIs...yeah, you'll be fine babe.

What bothered me about your PCC is what she said to you:

Transforms Patient Care Co-ordinator wrote:She said she has put it down in my notes and has contacted the surgeon and told him what i have said and said on the day 'to push him for that size

Now I know you and you surgeon had agreed this size was required to help you achieve the look you want, but to make a comment suggesting you PUSH for 340s suggests your she didn't quite understand the agreement between you and your surgeon.YOU had no need to push for anything. She presumed you just wanted the biggest implant you could get and that you were to you literally put pressure on your surgeon to give you the biggest implant.

This is why BAAPS are so angry with these middle men/women who have no medical training at all and are literally advising patients to pressure surgeons!

This then leads to the 1 in 5 women which is high amount of women! Being wrongly advised by someone other than their surgeon as detailed [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

That PCC and others like her should be ashamed of themselves asking women to 'push' against advise from a fully qualified expert in this field. growl

On the day you wont be rushed into surgery you will have a sit down with the surgeon to go over everything before hand and you can even try on implants again if you want to. I was then drawn on and the size was written on me.

Most definitely get it sorted babe as I was given the smaller size I refused at my consultation we originally agreed on 545 and I received 525cc not much different but don't settle for something you don't want, I haven't I'm having them do a re-op at there cost due to company error so my Pcc said but my surgeon said he never had them on the day huh! After they said they would order in a range of sizes just in case the larger didn't fit, get it cleared out his mouth on the day of surgery to make sure your getting what you want not what he wants xxxx good luck babe xxxx
