Support stockings anyone???
Just wondered if anyone else on here was told to wear support stockings after their ba?? I have been told that I need to wear them for at least the next 5 days??? I have never heard of this before!! I mean it doesnt make that much difference to me as its not like im goin anywhere or doing anything, just they're not the most glamorous of things and they hurt too!!!!!xx

Hiya hun, i wasnt told to but then i wasnt given them to wear during the op either which really surprised me! Most ladies seem to have worn them during the op and i have had 3 C-sections and always had to wear them during and after the op for at least 3 days!! I have quite bad Varicase (?) veins so thought i would defo have to wear them but no. Strange x

Re: Support stockings anyone???
Were you only told to wear them a couple days nads?? Or were you meant to wear them for longer, im debating whether to give them a few more days then take them off, they really hurt when im asleep as they really are sooooo tight!!xx

Re: Support stockings anyone???
hey hun i got told to wear the stockings for a WEEK!!! Although after the third day i couldn't bear them, they made me so uncomfortable and so i called my nurse and asked ifi could take them off...think there only a precautionary measure but if your moving about and get your circulation moving then i don't see no probs with you takng them off. I had the full length, thight high ones as they had run out of knee high ones, not very fetching at all!!!
happy healing hun

Re: Support stockings anyone???
You should be fine hun, the nurse just told me to keep moving about, and every hour or so just move my feet and ankles to make sure the circulation keeps moving.
hope your healing well
