surgical stockings
These flaming stockings are driving me nuts. Keep pulling them up, un wrinkling them and ps wants me to keep them on for 10 days aaah. Not to bad when i`m walking around but when you sit still (trying to rest like your told) the make my legs cold and numb. I thought 10 days sounded rather long as i`m sure after my emergency c sections it was only a few day after coming home? anyone take them off early or best not too? x

Re: surgical stockings
I only wore mine a few hours, I asked the nurse to take them off for me. I'd give them a ring to see if its essential you keep them on.
Re: surgical stockings
10 days? Blimey!! I took mine off after a few hours in the hospital (but the nurse did tell me off a little bit), but didn't have to put them on again.
I thought you only needed them when you were inactive, but as you'll be walking around, can't see why you have to keep them on.
Take 'em off.

Re: surgical stockings
I didn't have any on that i can remember. If I did it they must have come off before I woke up from GA.

Re: surgical stockings
Thinking about it I don't remember having mine on when I came round from the GA either. I know I definitely didn't go home with them on either time. x

Re: surgical stockings
Hahaha Wend! That was exactly what I have been thinking!! I have been told to keep mine on for a week! Tonight they got so damn annoying I pulled them down and scratched my poor legs for about 5 solid mins - aaaaahhhhhh the relief. I pulled them back up again after though cos I didnt want to go against advice....but surely there is no need? Its not like Im sitting down all day, I wander round quite often. Shall we both be rebels and just chuck 'em??

Yeah think we should. Went out with the mum`s from school sat night (just a meal actually did feel spaced out) didn`t wear them then and been taking them off here and there. Been a week tonight for me so i`m gonna keep them off! Hope your doing well. I`m fine just know it when i have slightly over done it, pulling and aching mainly on the right spose coz i`m right handed. xxx
