aimeencb wrote:SHiv,Im am also getting dissoluble stitches and i heard that they itch like CRAZY?? is this true for you?
They haven't been AS itchy as I thought they would but yes they are a little bit itchy. I haven't got to the point of going crazy over it tho so not too bad. But I am glad I'm getting my dressings changed tomorrow so I can have a peek at how they're healing and if they are dissolved yet or not so I'll let you know.
I never had this pain pump and never heard about it so its obviously something different Candycain's surgeon/company do. I just had a drip for maybe a couple of hours after my op but after they took that out, just regular pain meds. I think it does make a difference to stay over night maybe? Just so you're not moving around straight after your op and you can just relax in bed!

Re: March Buddies!
I'd say an over-nighter is a good plan especially for unders, it's now about 28 hours after my surgery and I'm happy moving around, standing up and things with no pain killers which I wasn't really even first thing this morning.

Re: March Buddies!
Mornings are the worst for a few days! Waking up wasn't nice for about 4/5 days I'd say, So stick with the pain killers in the morning but as soon as they've kicked in and you've got up and about it gets better and I managed with no other pain killers during the day.
Glad to hear you are up and about now tho and everythings gone well for you!

Re: March Buddies!
Hey Girls,
I hope our girls from yesterday are making out okay today. I had never heard of the pain pump either. I just had my pain pills &then dressings that were removed incase of drainage the next morning. I didn't even really have much drainage either. I guess it varies from doctor to doctor. Is it hard to carry that pain pump around? You must be so happy to be heading to your own bed today Candy.
I have been getting a bit itchier too day by day. It's not unbearable just annoying. I finally slept normal last night for the first night in a long time Yay! I also work up not too sore which I'm pretty happy about. I hope I keep this up feeling better day by day.
Shiv! You are one week today - can you believe it!? Time flies!
xoxo

Pain pump? This sounds absolutely AWESOME! i want one of these haha!
Serenade, I can't believe how tuff you are! I'm going to be crying like a baby compared to you... I'm a complete wimp when it comes to pain, even though I've had 2 babies with no pain relief when it comes to something like this, I know I'm going to be feeling very sorry for myself!
Well done to all you girlies so far, we are kicking ass at March boobies! :cheerlead:
Not long for me now... eeeeeeeeek!!!

No, nothing from Auriga yet I can see! I hope she's ok.
Thanks Flowergirl! Although a lot of girls have said similar about the pain meds, I think my experience is fairly standard. I'm sure you will be fine petal! It's not that bad honestly!
Elle that's great about the sleeping huni long may it continue!

Re: March Buddies!
Flowergirl trust me the pain is no where near as bad as you're expecting! I thought I 'd just be crying for days with pain as I'm the biggest wimp going! I nearly cried earlier just because I banged my knee off my bed! But surprisingly I was never really in any pain after my op just more uncomfortable at times.
YAY Elle So glad you slept normally last night it's like heaven after not being able to do it for so long isn't it?! And no I can't believe its been a week! although I cant remember having my little boobs now! Me and my new girls are very happy we've found each other! haha.
I'm sure and hope Auriga will be fine, maybe just abit groggy from GA. She'll be here in her own time! Thinking of her though!

Re: March Buddies!
Flowergirl - no worries about the pain. Serenade is one bad a*s, tough barbie but you will be good. Shiv & I were really worried and scared of the pain. Actually in the end that was my biggest worry. But it's quite managable and you will be given enough pain medication to get you through it. I haven't had kids but I'm pretty sure if you have been through two births you are going to be more than fine!
Thanks girls for awknowledging how great it was to get my sleep. LOL, only on here would people understand and congratulate me on this.
**Thinking of Auriga & wishing her the best recovery & downtime. **

Same Elle, I hope she is ok, I have faith she is fine, but will breath a sigh of relief when she posts up.
Did we have any girls having their boobie day today?
Alisha don't worry dearie you will be fine! The only needle I encountered was for the drip and I didn't even see it coz I wasn't looking!
Candy! - no worries my darling I am glad you're nearly home, take care, rest up and I hope you are feeling tops as soon as possible!! *gentle avoiding boobie hugs*
Elle - first night tonight without the hospital bed so I will have to try to prop myself up, not looking forward to it - maybe I will see what you mean tonight!
Thanks Elle for your comment - new signature quote!

Re: March Buddies!
Here I am! Can you believe there was no wifi in the hospital? :)
Well, I have to say that was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. The poor anesthetist got me blubbing all over him before we went down, but he was great. I was petrified. Next thing I knew I was waking up with seriously chattering teeth and an itchy face from the morphine. Today I've had ibuprofen and paracetamol but that's it. The drains being taken out was uncomfortable but not sore. In fact, all in all, I wouldn't say I was in pain, just really tight and uncomfortable.
And the boobies? Well, they are well taped up but I think they seem quite small. However, I had asymmetry so was going for an even shape rather than a larger one, so I had an implant on one side and an uplift on the other. The surgeon is very pleased with his work so that's a good sign. He reckons a D cup or a very full C. I'm already excited thinking of all the tops I can now wear which I wouldn't have gone near before.
I was due to stay in two nights (they only told me that when I got there) but as you can see I'm home after one. Very happy to see my babies and hubby seems to have everything under control.
Glad to hear the other 8th March ladies are well too - did you notice that we got our new boobies on International Womens Day?
I love what Serenade has said 'gentle avoiding booby hugs to all' xxx

Now rest up, and nothing more strenuous for at least a week than lifting a knife and fork LOL

Re: March Buddies!
Auriga! That's great huni, glad you are doing well and great to hear from you! I thought mine seemed small all bandaged and strapped up but actually when I see them with clothes on they are about right.
I have a serious question now girls:
I csan feel, see and hear the implants moving about a little when I move my arms up and down at the shoulders... is that normal?! It's more with the right but does happen with both.
Please say that can happen and I'm not screwed please please please!!

Re: March Buddies!
Congratulations on your new boobies Auriga, Serenade and Candycain.
So glad to hear how well you have all got on.
Auriga, I think I will be the same as you before the op. At least your home now and can relax in your own space. I'm already thinking about nice clothes and underwear I can buy.lol. Its my birthday a month after my op, so hoping to get a nice outfit for it.
Take care, and happy healing. xxx

Re: March Buddies!
14 hours exactly and counting and I cant tell you how pleased i am you finally got on line Auriga - whew!
Cant believe how smooth it went for you. I spent a very busy day shopping for very beautiful bras that seemed impossible for me to ever wear, starting to think i need to take one to hospital to show and tell the doctor and 'hey you, fill this'
Auriga and the other girls, glad it all went well, hoping mine goes as well as you. Cant believe this is happening

Terena - Wooohoooo to you too! I'm hapy that you are doing well. The annoying back sleep will come to an end but I totally know how you feel.
xoxo
EMJ! That's soooo exciting that you're day is tomorrow. You are going to be so happy! I felt the same way when I was out shopping for ba bras - I had a different outlook at clothes and everything!

Auriga, so glad you're feeling better and you are dreaming of all those lovely clothes you'll be able to wear! yay!
Candycain, I thought the pain pump was like direct morphine into your boobs haha! not some nasty little drain... yikes! Not looking forward to that!

Good plan, I left a message with the clinical nurse. I recon it's nothing to worry about but I just wanted to check.
