Re: March Buddies!
Oh and LL I think its alot better to have a "dull and uneventful story" than an eventful story cause you've had loads of problems! i think if it goes smoothly it is abit uneventful.. But thats the way it should be!!

Re: March Buddies!
Bless ya, you havent had much sleep in the last couple of days then! Will be better now your in your own bed, im sure.
Thats great your still not in too much pain hun and bearable. So do you not wear a bra untill your check up? Have you got dressing on? Bless ya, your gonna love it when they take it off then. I'm gonna find it hard not being able to shower for a week!! But its worth it! Will just have 2 wash and have shallow baths. Its the washing my hair aswell, I hate it when my hair aint been washed for a couple of days, feel horrible! May have to get my mum to come over and wash it for me, or go to the hairdressers for a wash and blow dry.
So are you housebound at the moment? At least you have plenty of people coming over to keep you company.

Re: March Buddies!
I am looking forward to tucking up tonight and getting a proper nights sleep (hopefully!)
No as I had unders I've not got a bra on at all just a chest strap and like a big plaster over my stitches. I'm not sure how long I have to wear the chest strap can't remember if she said just the first week or longer..
It's killing me not showering I think because I know I cant I feel even worse than I would! and I'm one to wash my hair everyday so thats greasy as hell now and I hate it. I'm planning on having a shallow bath tomorrow and getting my mom to wash my hair over the sink maybe.
Yeah I'm just staying in for the moment just to stay rested but yeah got friends and family coming to see me everyday so I'm not getting lonely!
I have took some pics and I think I'm going to upload them to a site now so if anyone wants to have a peek just p/m me? But it might take me a little while to find a photo site that I can use!

Re: March Buddies!
I had two straps hunnie, one was unbearable because it was like millions of tiny little teeth nibbling away at me or sawing me in two, the other one is fine (I still have to continue wearing it)

So are you not to wear a bra for the 1st week at all then? Do you have to keep the strap on all the time?

I would love to see you pics hun, if thats ok. Have you looked at anyones pics on here before? As i asked some1 to look at theirs and she sent me a Pm and I didnt see any pics or know how to get them up. Maybe I just stupid.lol.

Yeah no bra until I get told different and strap on at all times.
Yeah cant wait for my bath and I'm also going to a friends house tomorrow and shes putting my nails back on aswell to feel that more bit nicer and human!
I'm just uploading the pics now to a photo sharing website so will pm you when it's done. I've not looked at other girls pics on here but have done on another forum where you can upload straight to it. I'll try and make sure it's clear how to see my pics in my pm when I work it out myself!

Most people here tend to use Picture Trail Kirsty. When she sent you the PM, it would have contained her username on Picture Trail and the password to get in. You should have gone to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and top right hand side you put in the account users user name and it then asks you for the password.

Different surgeons, different things we have to do afterwards pet. When I saw the nurse at my 4 week checkup, she said I had to still keep wearing the chest band until I see the surgeon at my 3 month checkup (next Monday) - although I must admit I do cheat a bit - if I'm going out with friends for instance, then I don't wear it and I take it off before I go down to the gym.

Re: March Buddies!
Forum stoppe emailing me updates for this thread, which is weird!
Congratulations LindyLou! I'm so glad everything went well and hope you're still feeling good, it's great to read so many girls posting not long after saying they are fine, it makes me less scared!
Finally sorted everything out at work (bunch of men can't survive without me, bless 'em) for being away but I'm going walking in Brecon over the weekend and am having nightmares about breaking my leg and not being able to have my new boobies! =O/

Re: March Buddies!
Yeah, honestly girls don't worry. The word pain isn't even the right word to use, as it's just tightness really. Although the nurse did say to me just before I left that my skin is used to being stretched due to having my children. I don't know if it's any different for people without babies, but the hospital doses you up really well anyway with the local anaesthetic and the meds you take home.
I'm home now. No bra or strap on right now (naughty me) as I was convinced the bra is too tight (even though it's a 36dd!!), but JM told me that when I take my bra off I can put my strap on. He seemed fairly relaxed that because I've had unders my skin is kind of acting like a bra anyway so he didn't seem too concerned!!
When I first got home I felt really tight, probably because of my dad's crazy driving, and I thought the anesthetic was wearing off. Since the kids went to bed at 7 I've just taken my bra off, sat down and had a cup of tea and relaxed my body, haven't taken any pain relief, and I can honestly say that I'm not even feeling all that tight right now. So, if you do feel particularly tight (anyone), don't let yourself tense up and hunch because I think it makes it work. Just take deep breaths and relax your body and lower your shoulders! I was starting to get a crick in my neck and shoulder from holding my body so awkwardly so I have first hand experience of it!!
Anyway, it sounds like Shiv and Shaydey are getting on really well, and I'm really looking forward to hearing from Kimmy when she feels up to it!! Good luck to the girls going tomorrow!!!!

Glad you're feeling good! Can't believe how well recovered all you March girls are so far!
I haven't heard about these chest straps! Do I need to buy them or are they supplied? My pc told me to just get a sports bra in a 32dd and 32e, she didn't mention any chest straps! I'm also having unders, should I email her and ask her? xx

Re: March Buddies!
If you need a chest strap they will supply you with one and they gave me another one aswell so i change and wash it everyday.
I am in abit of pain now tbh, but I think it's my own fault for not getting much sleep and just had my niece round so was playing abit with her!
Think I need to remember I have just had surgery and I need to rest!!
And plus I'm a complete wimp so the smallest amount of pain and I start to cry haha.
I'm not sure if I've managed to get my photos sorted but I'm pm'ing everyone whos asked now so I'll soon find out if i've managed to figure it out or not!

Re: March Buddies!
Ooh Carol just realise what you mean by one of the straps being so much better than the other! I've just opened the new strap they gave me and it's soo much softer than the other one I've got on.
Is the softer one just as good as the one I've got on? if it is I might actually be able to get some sleep tonight now! xx

Yes, just as good, thankfully. I don't wear the scratchy one anymore as it used to drive me doo-lally (well more doo-lally than normal I guess lol)

Re: March Buddies!
I've put my other one on now and it's like heaven compared to the one I had on!! It was really scratching me and making me itch but this other one is so much nicer, just doesnt feel as tight, but maybe it's just in my head cause it's not cutting into me like the other one!
my belly under my wounds are starting to hurt now. Feels like its all bruised and when I touch like my ribs it's sooo tender! I really hope I get a good sleep tonight I think I need it! I'm getting abit over tired where nothing makes sense! haha If that doesnt make me sound too crazy

Re: March Buddies!
I've just started to get that sore belly thing in the last ten minutes!! I'm hoping it's just because I've been sat upright for too long and it'll go away when I lie down.
Shiv, had a look at your pics and they worked fine. You wouldn't believe how similar we are both pre and post op, especially size wise!!! In your last picture I'd say you look bigger than me though, although that may be because you were slightly bigger than me before, and you have much smaller dressings on than me. I can't see what you mean about a nipple pointing off to the side though... if it is, it's not noticeable!! I'll have to get my pics up for you so you can have a look!!
Congrats hun, I look forward to our healing journey!!

Re: March Buddies!
When I said it goes off to one side.. If you look at the pic of the day of my op you can tell my right boob looks bigger and wider.. but today it had like gone down and the left one looked bigger and wider but you could only see when I took my strap off.. but I turned my strap around as it seems to be tighter the side I do it up if that makes sense? So I think it's now pulled my left one in abit. so think I just need to swap my strap around every so often? Don't know if it's all in my head as I'm a worrier or if it really is helping!
Yeah I'll love to compare pics whenever you've uploaded yours no rush :) I'll keep adding to my album as I heal more, so I'll let you know when I do add more

No, I completely understand what you are saying Shiv, I felt the same and have been doing exactly that, one day fastening it on the left and then swapping it about the following day, so that any discrepancy evened itself out over time.

Ahh glad to know you do this and that it is actually helping.
It still feels crazy how numb my boobs and nipples are, i cant stop like touching them cause I cant feel it haha. I best not be one of these people who doesnt get the sensitivity back tho!
I love that I'm now surrounded by chocolate and sweets that my friends and my mom have just brought for me! I could set up a sweet shop the amount I've got! I could get used to this, might milk it abit more than i am! :teehee:

I'm impatient and I've got some pics up already, so if any of the girls in here want to have a look, just PM me and I'll send you the password.
I can see what you mean now Shiv, but it is very slight. I hope that the changing over technique works though!! How tight is your strap? Mine isn't very tight as it feels too uncomfortable and I'm worried about putting pressure on my scars, if that makes sense??
The very first one I took today (where I've got my gown partially on), I'm actually laying down, and I think if it wasn't for the hint of side boob and roundness I've got, you wouldn't be able to tell I'd had anything done lol. I hope that's not boob greed kicking in! Saying that, it's hard taking pics with a mobile!!
