Re: March Buddies!
Just keep looking at your photos of before and the boob greed goes that what I keep doing! If I took a pic of me straight on laying down it would look the same as you i think as there is that gap between my boobs, but hoping this strap will bring them closer together!
I didnt have my last strap on too tight as it was cutting into me, but the other one they have gave me is really soft so have managed to wear it abit tighter just so I feel like its doing a job haha

How long do you have to wear the strap for? Can you see it under a t-shirt? x

Re: March Buddies!
I think if you wore a girly t-shirt that's sort of tight fitting you'd definitely be able to see it as it's fairly thick. I can't see it through my hoodie though, or through a button up shirt I've got, but it;s by no means as discreet as a bra strap!
No idea how long I'll have to wear it for though unfortunately!

I'm so not sure how long I've got to wear the strap as I've forgotten most the things the nurse told me this morning, but I've got my check up next week, when they will tell me everything I need to know again and I'm going to pay abit more attention then! I havent tried a t-shirt or anything over it yet as I havent got out my pjs which obviously cover it. But it isn't the most discreet thing! xx

Re: March Buddies!
It's just that I need to go back to college as have an exam the week after the op, also have to wear scrubs at work so they are very thin, might get some really weird 'knowing' looks from the surgeons at work :heehee:

Re: March Buddies!
Ahh, yeah, you might want to get some in a size bigger than you are then! Although I'd have though scrubs would be ok. maybe you'll be alright to just wear sports bras in the day?
I'm back to uni on Monday, so I have 3 days of healing before I have to go back in, and I've bought a few lose checked-shirt tops as I hope the pattern and the size will distract from my chest!!

Sorry Shiv, but I was exactly the same. On the way back home in the car I kept trying to remember what the hell she had told me.

Great aunty Nora! I'm in bed and what a palava!! OH had to practically winch me in and he was giggling so much I burst out laughing and thought my boobs were going to pop!
I think I may just move into my bed until the healing has done.

Re: March Buddies!
I had a shallow bath on Day 3 and washed my hair - and it made me feel so much better. Blow drying my hair afterwards was a little tricky though as it took me 4 times as long as I had to keep on stopping and having a rest. Other than that, no heavy lifting, no changing beds, no stretching into high cupboards, no vacuuming - just a little light housework. Give yourself a break and let others around you do the donkey work - just sit on the sofa and hand out orders :teehee:

Im planning on milking it abit. I'm going to ask my mom to wash my hair in the kitchen sink tomorrow and dry it for me! then I'll have a shallow bath to try and feel abit cleaner!
LL I totally know how you feel you wont believe how much I've used my stomach muscles in just the past 2 days! I keep sliding down the bed when I get in so getting up is hard! having to sleep right on the edge so i can just slide my legs out! xx

Re: March Buddies!
I have a question for all you newly remodeled March Lady's,
Overall How has it been like sleeping upright??
I know its probably different for every girl but I just wanted your personal opinions and experiences.
I am a stomic sleeper and I am worried that I will roll over in my sleep and lay on my boobies and they will get smooshed and lose thier position and get lopsided.. I know I'm crazy!
Maybe I will be more aware of how I sleep after the BA but usually if I fall asleep on my side or back I wake up on my stomic.

Re: March Buddies!
Hey Ladies,
It has been literally a crazy busy week! I have been coming on the site and wishing you girls all the best though! I was so sad to see how many pages I missed today! I feel so out of the loop!
LL - I am SOOOO happy for you ! I have read your progress and recovery and I must say, I agree with Shiv, I was happy to hear it was uneventful!
Shiv - You are so funny with all of your talk on the paper underwear (sexy!) and then the whole milking it to get your mum to wash your hair. I love it!
Shayday, Thank you for your check ins! I so understand the cabin fever, I will definitely go stir crazy!
And Carol - thanks a million for being such a rock for all of us girls!
I am just trying to wind my day down - I'm in Canada so it's 12:30 am .... I will wake up to March 4th - my BA day! It's not until 3:15 in Toronto so I will do my packing and organizing beforehand. Seeing as today has disappeared! I can't wait to have some time off! Oh, and you girls have got me so excited for my boobjob tomorrow so thanks a mil!
xoxo

Re: March Buddies!
Good luck Elle!!!! I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine and I can't wait to hear your story!!
Aimee, Last night was my first night sleeping upright, and I have to say I'm surprised at how much sleep I managed to get. I always sleep on my side, but I only woke up briefly about 5 times. I had 3 cushions, 1 normal pillow and my triangular pillow underneath me, to give an idea of how propped I was, but I didn't really feel all that high up.
To be honest the nurse didn't seem too fussed about whether I was overly propped or not. She said to make sure that I have something to prop me up if I can, but that was only after I asked her about it, otherwise she wouldn't have mentioned it.
The more propped you are though, the easier it'll be for you to get in and out of bed!

Re: March Buddies!
Reasonably ok actually hun. I feel very short of breath though, if that's normal?? I'm having to take big deep breaths every time!
I don't think I had any morning boob, but I took some paracetomol an hour before I got up so maybe that alleviated the symptoms a bit.
My stretch marks are starting to redden a little bit today, which I kind of expected anyway, but fingers crossed that they don't get any worse. You would think that as this is the 3rd time that the skin on my boobs has stretched they would be used to it by now!!

Sorry hun, just seen you already sent me your password, thank you.
They are looking good hun, what a difference, bet your loving them! Thanks so much for letting me look. I am around the same size as you pre op, and am having a similar size implant, so I should be similar to you. I'm happy with that!
Hope your feeling well today hun. xxx

Re: March Buddies!
I don't remember being particularly short of breath Lindylou, but I suspect that is possibly down to the GA - and the GA can affect all of us differently. Give it a while and if it continues maybe check with James or one of the nurses at the clinic - but if it gets any worse I'd phone them immediately - might as well get your money's worth.

Re: March Buddies!
Morning girlies!
Well Sleeping - My nurse told me you dont actually have to be like sat totally upright just more at an angle so your boobs are higher up. I too am a total stomach sleeper, cant usually get to sleep unless I'm on my front. I start quite upright tho as I kept slipping down last night. I've got 3 pillows and my v pillow tho so my boobs are always higher. Managed to sleep quite well aswell last night thankfully so I think you'll get used to it straight away. And i didnt end up turning over so think you'll be okay!
OMG Morning boob!!! :tears: My mom came and helped me get out of bed as I couldn't manage to lift myself up! And the pain went straight through my boobs! especially my right one. I didn't wake up til around 10 though so I think I left it too long to not have any painkillers. Just sat there holding my boobs like they were babies and it made it feel better?! Took pain killers and had a cup of tea now and its quickly becoming more bearable! So Just beware of this ladies.
Let you know how I get on throughout the day as I'm attempting to wash my hair and have a shallow bath then tonight I'm having my nail back on! So I'll let you know how fun it is to try and wash! haha
Hope everyones all okay! and I'm not putting the rest of the March ladies off! It's so worth it I promise!! xxx

Re: March Buddies!
Thanks Kirsty!! It's funny as they look bigger today. I guess the swelling must be building up a little more now, but they're properly rock solid!!
Carol - I had the shortness of breath during my pregnancies as well, and always put it down to the baby pushing up into my diaphragm. Perhaps it's just the weight of them on my chest and the fact that I'm hunching a bit more than I should or something. But I'll definitely call if it gets worse just to make sure it's normal.
I look forward to hearing how your bath goes Shiv!! I'm going to have one tomorrow with the help of my OH, so a bit nervous about whether he's going to be gentle with me or not, especially after the way he lowered me into bed last night lol!!
Maybe you could try setting an alarm for an hour or so before you get up, then take your painkillers and go back to sleep for a little bit while they work their magic? I've started to feel a lot less tense throughout the day as I've been moving about a bit and have just had my second lot of paracetomol!

Re: March Buddies!
Oh gosh, this brings back memories, swelling, morning boob etc...
Just keep the painkillers topped up girls, even if you think you dont need them, it really does help. I remember being so impatient and wanting to get back to normal as quickly as possible but be careful not to do too much too soon as it could halt your progress.
Honestly girls, after the first week you will start to feel more comfortable and you'll eventually get to that morning when you get up and your NOT clutching your boobs as you get out of bed....
