Cant remember when i had my first glass of wine after op but i imagine it wasnt longer than a week LOL

There is the blood thinning issue if youre still healing and also if you are still taking painkillers you need to be carefull you dont want to fall and injure yourself especially in this weather :) x x

id maybe stick at one glass of wine at the most because it thins the blood and can cause bleeding.

If you don't want to take any risks then I wouldn't drink yet sweetie. At 5 days post-op you haven't yet had your incisions checked and as abbie and Janeybird said, alcohol can thin your blood and at this stage you really want the very best from your healing don't you.

I'd wait till you've had your first post-op check hunni and then check with your clinic/surgeon to ensure it's now safe for you to do so. xxx

I was advised 2 weeks after, but even then only had shandys. I think it is a good idea to wait, especially if you are still taking painkillers. Good luck with your healing xx

I waited a week too, but to be honest I just didn't really feel like drinking. It's a lot to pay out for your new boobies - is a glass of wine really worth risking your healing process for?

It was exactly a week for me. Went to a party and after a couple of glasses of wine, was very, shall we say - excited - to tell EVERYBODY about the twins! Blush

Oh god could be a dry Xmas for me then as op on 21st - sounds like once when I had a lovely facial on New Years eve and then was told I couldn't wear make up afterwards - who wants to go out New Years Eve naked!
