Having a lot of difficulty choosing a surgeon/implant type/size etc for myself. Maybe I am thinking too much into it.. I have seen 4 surgeons and I am going to see 2 or 3 more and that is it then.

What hospital/ surgeon were you thinking, and what size?
It all depends on the reason your getting it done, why dont you find out some pics of how you would like to look and show them at your consultation?

If you have seen 4, then personally I think seeing 2-3 other surgeons might just confuse you even more.

I would do some reasearch into specific surgeons, find one that does what you want ie- big/small/natural looking/fake etc.

I agree with AB.

I'm unsure what you're hoping to get from seeing so many?

You've said previously that you've seen a surgeon who has inspired confidence in you and that you're happy with his consultation so what more is that you're looking for hun? xx

I also wouldn't see any more hun, especially as cookie pointed out that you were happy with a surgeon, then maybe have a 2nd consult with them first.
Sometimes having too much choice is conterproductive.

Deffo don't see anymore if you're confused already - it's only going to get worse as they all have different opinions!

What have you gathered so far from your consultations? i.e. is there anything you ARE sure about regarding your op? (e.g. placement, size, type of implant etc.) I would focus on what you are sure about and build on that. As cookie says, you say you have already seen a surgeon you are happy with - what was their opinion on where you should go with your op? xxx

Apart from discussing your BA on here are you taking to anyone else about it?

Is it that your getting conflicting advice? I once told my sister what I was thinking of doing and her reaction was very negative and it almost put me off looking in to it any further. Without my husband and finding this forum I may have not bothered.

What I mean to say is, is anyone putting you off and therefore clouding your judgment over surgeons and clinics?

Either THG, Transform or Harley and my favourite surgeon so far was the one at THG. And tbh, I'm aiming for anything between a C and a D cup. I am quite slim so either would look good. And I have been meaning to do that and I will bring pictures next time I go along to any consultations.

Good idea. My favourite surgeon so far is all about whatever can fit your body but I know there's a good surgeon at Transform who is into the natural look and I was thinking about phoning up to see him..

I honestly don't know! Just worried in case I miss a really good surgeon! And I do like THG surgeon, but I am always just worried that maybe he doesn't fully understand me and what I want, and that he will make them look too fake.

So far, I am sure about these things:

- Placement - under the muscle. But I don't know whether fully under or submuscular.
- Natural look.

Unsure:

- Size.
- Type of implant.

The surgeon I liked talked a lot of sense and inspired confidence in me, but some other surgeons have said a TOTAL opposite to him and that's what worries me..

But you were happy with the consultation and the surgeon, right? isn't that a really good surgeon for you? Great difficulty. 267328 OK, here's what I'm not understanding babe:

You say the surgeon inspired confidence and that you were happy with the consultation... so, ummmmm what do you think he didn't understand if you felt confident in what he said? Great difficulty. 267328 and if you're happy with him, why do you think you'll end up with fake breats? Great difficulty. 267328

It's the conflicting ideas of surgeons that worry me as they all say totally different things and I don't know which view is right? And I talk to my boyfriend and mum about it as well.

OK being confused over conflicting advice is understandable. But after seeing four surgeons, finding a surgeon that makes you happy and then NOT being happy... well.... that's the part I'm finding a little difficult to understand sweetie.

Maybe you need a secon consultation with this surgeon hun, to express your concerns, maybe that will just give you the added reassurance you're looking for? xx

Hi titanic,
Its up to you to choose the surgeon who you feel you can trust and who you have confidence in. As for size, type and placement, normally the final decision rests with your surgeon as to these, so its not really something you should worry about. Your body type will determine where the implant will be placed i.e over or unders, as for types of implant each surgeon has a preference as to which make of implants he/she uses, that is unless you want to pay more for a certain type of implant and as for size if you want a natural look which is not too big for your body, your surgeon will know what size to implant to give the size you want.
I certainly wouldnt go and see anymore consultants, you are just confusing yourself. In a previous post you said you had weedled it down to 3 surgeons is there a problem with these 3 surgeons? I dont think seeing more surgeons is the answer i think maybe more research is required. I researched BA's for at least a year, on and off probably longer. I would say research, research research until you are 110% sure of what it is you want.

Why don't you book another appointment with him then, go through his opinions again, ask him to look at his previous work mayeb point out a few you like best (Im assuming all surgeons keep their before and after photos)
that way you will be able to see when he tells u he 'can' do natural u can see for yourself

If you ask two people for directions they may send you two different ways but the destination will be the same.

When you talk about the size of the implants, the cc can be only a slight difference. There is practically a spoonful of difference between a 275 and 300. It's mainly what will fill your boob without stretching the skin to much. As for implant makes, i read that you wanted Naturelle which are almost the best ones on the market.

If your happy with that surgeon and you are happy with those implants and size i'd say your there. It's just the big step of booking.

Do you find that scarey? I do but have given my self a deadline that i can not cross.

I agree with everyone else seeing more surgeons will only confuse matters. I saw 5 surgeons but that was cos none of the ones I saw first understood what I wanted I felt but you say you are happy with the surgeon your saw at THG so I think its best to do more research on that surgeon and as others have said book another appointment.

The surgeon will be the one to pick the placement and will problies either pick the implant size for you or give you a few sizes to pick from so I really wouldnt stress over that at the moment if you dont even know what surgeon you going with. Why not research implant makes aswell if your confused, there is a section on here about the different makes and types on the market. x

You wont find a perfect surgeon .. just one you feel happy with and trust.
Luckily I found mine first go. I went to another surgery but was unimpressed with ther very impersonal approach. Ther are lots of girls with 400cc plus implants on here tht luk very natural and surgeons wont give you extremely fake looking breasts unless that is what u specifically want.
I think you need to think if your ready for this yet hun. Maybe take a break from it all and consider it again after new year.

I agree with pretty much all that has been said. In my opinion I don't think that you are ready for this yet. I would give it half a year and reconsider things then. I don't mean this in an unkind way but the whole process has seemed to be a struggle for you in every way. I would just give it some time xo

I am going to book a second consultation with my favourite surgeon but if I tell him something that another surgeon said and vice versa, they both say that the other view is rubbish, but one view must be right?
