Hi ladies,

On monday I had my boob job done as well as pubic/abdominal liposuction. I'm finding it difficult to get around without using my arms and chest a lot to lever me around on seats or in bed etc. I know you're not meant to use your arms a lot after a boob job but i don't have much of a choice because my crotch feels like it's on fire as does my torso. I'm taking it easy..my boobs feel ok but I'm worried I'm going to be putting too much pressure on my new boobies as i feel no pain when ive taken my painkillers so don't know if I'm doing any damage. It's all pretty subtle movement mind you.

Also, my dressings under my boobs are so ITCHY!!!!! the sticky bit, i've changed my dressings where my keyholes for the lipo are and they're fine but the long strips under my boobs are annoying me. I don't think I'm allergic to it so it must be healing itch?

I keep getting phantom itching that feels like it's on my little boobs when my new boobs are numb lol weird.

But yeh did anyone who did a lot of arm work find themselves in trouble? surely my surgeon wouldn't do both if it would give me problems?

I think you've just got to try and take it s easy as possible... it must be difficult not using your arms though.

Try taking some anti-histamines for the itching (Piriton or the like).

I agree with Anglepie 👍 Or some ice packs could help, cool setting on hairdrier, fan. Anything that stops you scratching. Rest up too.xx

I think your body will tell you if it is too much!!! It is difficult to get up from lying/sitting even with one op.......you either laugh or cry!!
I used a walking stick to get out of bed Blush Only thing I could find that worked, also some long handled kitchen tongs to reach and pick things up.....anything that aids your healing. It is better to laugh about it..... it makes the journey much more worthwhile. Hysterical

Look after yourself, and keep posting, even just to keep you occupied. We will support when we can... and have a natter!!Hug xxx

Mum's are great eh!! Good you have someone to laugh with!!! You will be rewarded with a great body soon!!! I tried a stool, a massive pile of duvets and pillows by the bed an umbrella??? Nothing worked...then I remembered a friends walking stick in the hallway.... Then when you use them and laugh it hurts laughing!!!!!

Gosh it's mad when you think back...but, I'd do it all again in a minute Flash xx

As long as you're not lifting anything heavy early on you should be ok, when getting up from lying down, pull under your knees/thighs to lift yourself up x

I had the same as you...new boobs (same size implant) and lipo to my stomach ( all over) and my sides and lower back..I found the same difficulities as you...the iching of the dressings.....the burning from the lipo and the sharp stabbing pains they came around a week in.....I am still swollen on my sides and a little lumpy.......( had op 24th May)
I had to use my arms more to position myself and coax body to move. I went for my check up and the only problem found was to the lipo scars..near the boob scars!!!..nurse said boobs looked fine...you just need to things that much slower....the pains do ease.....I found it worst around a week in when I had to take off the body stocking to use the loo.......very very painful.....

blimey! I'm ok using the loo, i'm only wearing like bridget jones knickers so i can take them up and down to wash and wee. the pains startin to get worse in some areas where the nerves are starting to re-connect it seems, been totally numb until today OUCH lol cor lower back as well that must have been VERY hard to manouvre! They must know it's ok to do both though otherwise they wouldn't let you have lip and boobjob surely lol

i just want to take my sports bra off! but i've been told to wear it 24/7 but the thick elastic around my bust is digging into my boob stitches and where my bridgets are pushin my stomach up i just crease and it HURTS lol

end moan

My stocking goes right up to my boobs!!!! and pulling it down over my hips was a nightmare. I'm still tender also around my sides but it's getting better...I agree they wouldn't do both if it wasn't ok.....My bra also dug into boobs and still is digging around my boob scars..and I've had to put a drssing on last night just to take the pressure off...( been using the pads the hospital gave me for my lipo wounds tucked them inside my bra that worked a treat ......) Can't wait for sports bra off and body stocking off.....another 4 weeks .....aaaahhhhhhh

blimey, has the swelling gone down yet? my main lipo area is obviously a bit smaller but still big which i know is swelling as even my belly button is swollen and it wasn't a main area, it's only been 3 days so i'm guessing i wont be 'flat' for a good couple of weeks?

No the swelling is still there.....I still have bruising not as bad but it's there.........mainly to my sides....but I can see a huge difference already......my stomach area wasn't too bad and they didn't take much out...however my sides and back were pretty big......so guessing thats why it hurts more.....
My sides have an odd shaped lumpy feel to them but I think it's my clothes digging in as it around the right height of my trousers etc....just hoping I havn't done too much damage and that it will calm down and get to be 'normal'....

Worth every pain, scream ouch and money....
I went with transform also.......a question but you don't need to answer it.....
as being very rude....how much did you pay?
I paid out £4600 for my new boobs and 2 areas of lipo..at the time I wasn't sure if this was a good price or not....it seemed reasonable but it would be interesting what others were charged

yeh when i first started lookin around places were quoting what you paid for the boobs alone, and about 5k for the lipo! so you've got a bit of a bargain there me thinks and their aftercare team are brilliant. i could tell the people looking after me loved their jobs!
it will change things for me and my OH too! i feel and look "normal" and "womanly" and im gunna make sure he enjoys his new gf! hahaha
