Ohhh - well done you!!! Really lovely to hear that all went well and that there is no pain - and not to feel tired, that is wonderful. I was drifting in and out of sleep all day - but by the evening I was fine too. Just remember to take it easy and not push yourself too hard over the next week or two

Re: January Buddies!
Hey January ladies! So, its the 15th Jan today, and this time yesterday I had just been put to sleep and was beeing preped for surgery. I went to Nuffield Heath in Guildfuild which was such a lovely hospital, and all staff were amazing to me.
I woke up around 9.45am and felt in so much pain and could see the nurses around me..they decieded to give me some morphine for the pain, which after a few minutes really kicked in. I was so drowsy and can remember being wheeled back up to my room to see my boyfriend waiting for me and I was so happy.
The pain then came and went..and when it came it was such a strong pressure pain across the bottom of my breasts. So I took some parecetemol which helped..
But then the sickness cam (from the morphine) every hour or so I felt like I needed to puke! And the thought of using my chst muscles to be sick scared me so much. This passed and all I needed to do was pass a urine sample and would be ok to leave..although nothing was coming out!! It took me over 5 hours of drinking tea and water and finally I could leave!
I'm now back home where I am being looked after by my lovely boyfriend Joe, and have been in a lot of discomfort since last night.
One thing my surgeon did not warn me of was rumbling type noises coming from my boobies, its like a trapped wind sound and happens in both boobs when I move around...does anyone know if this is normal? What it could be?
Other than that I seem to be on the mind with stacks of dvd's to watch this weekend and! Would love your feedback!
Ps.I have new boobies and I can't wait to take this bra off and see them properly!
Pps. How long shall I keep this sports bra?!

Re: January Buddies!
Hi hunnie, yes, it is completely normal and is due to some trapped air in your boobies. It will dissipate over time. See this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which discusses this in greater detail - and maybe make you smile about it.One thing my surgeon did not warn me of was rumbling type noises coming from my boobies, its like a trapped wind sound and happens in both boobs when I move around...does anyone know if this is normal? What it could be?
It all depends on what your surgeon recommends sweetheart, some recommend going without fairly soon on, some recommend 6 weeks and some (including mine) recommend 3 months. Ask your nurse or the surgeon when you see them at your 1 week post op consultation (or phone the clinic to ask).Pps. How long shall I keep this sports bra?!
So sorry to hear that you were in pain afterwards and felt nauseous - hopefully the nausea is gone now and the pain is starting to ease off. You must take it easy over the next week or two as your body will be using all it's resources to mend itself after the operation - so plenty of rest young lady!!!!!!

Re: January Buddies!
Hi girls...this is the first chance I have had to come on here so here I am!! Surgery went great (I had an uplift and BA) and to be honest am just so happy to be alive ha ha! I was so frightened of being put to sleep but my whole experience was fantastic. I went with Mr Traynor of MYA at the Manchester Lifestyle Hospital and haven't got one complaint! My surgeon, the nurses, food, everything was top notch and my experience a very happy one. So here I am sitting with my two new friends..they are like twin peaks at the moment...very high and far apart..but Mr Traynor said this is totally normal with an uplift aswell as so much excess skin has been taken away and my new boobies need lots of time to settle and find their new home!! I can definately say I've never been in any pain as such..discomfort yes, but no pain. The worst part for me was when I came round from the anaesthetic and my whole body was shuddering, not from the cold but just shaking, my legs were really uncomfortable. I also felt like I could hardly breathe but I was reassured that was due again to the anaesthetic and also the new weight on my chest! This passed after about an hour and a half though so I was fine after that!
Now I am back at my mother-in-law's being cared for by her..and my mam and husband are holding the fort with my two little ones back home. The only downside I am experiencing is the painkillers and antibiotics I think..I never really take painkillers and the mix of the two is making me feel quite nauseous. To be honest I think I could manage without them but am going to give myself another two days on them as I don't want to get too ahead of myself and then end up in a lot of pain because of it.
I never ever thought I would feel this good afterwards though, although I still intend to take it very slowly and not rush into doing things. I'm so excited for those of you who have yet to have your ops because already I can see the difference this is going to make to my life and my self confidence. Good luck to you all and look forward to hearing your stories too xxxxxxxxxx

Hi Lexi and welcome to the other side :heehee:
I'm so pleased that things have worked out well for you and (besides the nausea, which will pass) you are feeling fine and without any pain.
Remember to take it easy for the next week or two and enjoy being pampered by your loved ones.
Take care hun

Oh, just my small way of trying to help out hun. Everybody here contributes in their own individual ways, small supportive hugs are every bit as important as anything else, I know, as I have received them from people and they do mean so much - which is why I love it on here

Re: January Buddies!
Hello again..yes I have to agree the support of this forum is amazing..I used it a lot when I first booked my operation and it really helped me and answered loads of questions I had back then..
I can move my arms a lot more today and seen my little family for the first time since the op...my 17 month old wasn't the slightest bit interested in seeing me (she is usually very clingy and never leaves my side!) so that was a bit upsetting but she came round eventually. My 3 1/2 year old was great and has been looking after me all day. I just told her that mammy had a sore chest and she has been gently kissing me and saying "it will be ok". How sweet!
I can see my boobs have moved a tiny bit but on average do you know how long it takes for them to drop a bit? At the minute they are very high and very far apart...please reassure me that they will move a lot closer together and I will have even a slight cleavage with a bra on? My surgeon said it's quite normal with an uplift aswell, as so much skin has been taken away that it takes a while for the implants to settle into their new homes! xx

Re: January Buddies!
Hi Lexi, my BA is on Friday so can't advise on my own experience, but it sounds quite normal from what others buddies on here have shared - I'm sure someone will be along soon to reassure you. Or perhaps post in the general forum on this or anything else that worries you - then lots more ladies will see it including those who had BAs in December and have recently come through the early healing stages.
I bet it was lovely to see you kids again, nothing like your babies kisses and cuddles to make you feel instantly comforted. Take it easy and hope your recovery continues to go well xxx

Re: January Buddies!
Hi Hannah I'm feeling pretty excited (and a little nervous of course). I was due to have my BA on the 7th, but I had a call the afternoon before to say my PS had flu so here I am counting down the final days - again! I'm dreading the phone ringing this week - perhaps i should pull it out the wall to save what little sanity I have left
I read in another post that your having less width and more projection in your new implants as you're very petite and I bet you can't wait to get rid of those awful pips - I'm sure you're gonna look fab and hopefully it will be an all round better experience than the last time xx

Re: January Buddies!
ToriLoula - I would LOVE to go bigger however I don't really have a choice unfortunately. I have bottomed out and because of my very small frame and very, very little breast tissue going a larger size would be a big risk to my body and even more breast distortion. The implants that I'm having will be 1cm more projection than the PIP's I have in now though so hopefully the will look a bit bigger... they're going to be half a cm less width though but hopefully that shouldn't be too obvious. Either way I will have much better shaped breasts than I have now and will have got rid of the PIP's! Wooo! x

Re: January Buddies!
HI Carrie - Oh my goodness I'm so sorry your op had to be postponed, that must have been so frustrating for you! I'm sure your surgeon will not bail out for the second time and you'll have new boobies this time 4 days!!! Woohoo!
Yes I'm having more projection this time - really hoping that it will make a difference in shape and possibly size... I can't go any bigger which I am really disappointed about but it's not worth the risk of bottoming out again. I see you're having 450cc! Wow! What size are you now? x
