Ahhh, the excitement (and nerves) Sofee, it will be here before you know it. If you can (yeah, I know it will be difficult LOL), try and get as much rest as you can between now and then. I was so excited I couldn't sleep for two days beforehand, I was so tired on the day itself, I think they could have done it without the GA LOL.
Good luck hunnie

I know , it's terrible - and wonderful - at the same time. I just wish I had seen these forums before I booked my BA as James is much nearer to me than Dolan Park (not that I regret going there now) and he seems a really nice guy whom I could have put my trust in too.
Your two weeks will be here before you know it hunnie and then you will be able to celebrate the New Year with confidence and style.

Re: January Buddies!
Hi everyone, checking back in after a lovely Christmas break with family (and trying not to think about boobs). I think I'll need sedating this time next week - I'm already waking and having trouble getting back to sleep, can't seem to empty my head of excitement and worries Just a week to go .....

Re: January Buddies!
Carol..James does seem to be a lovely man and also did my best friends BA 2 yrs ago. Its the best thing she ever did, she said. I feel very confident in him. The Duchy is only 20 mins from my house too. Which is fab.
Carrie...I am just the same. My op is the week after yours and i seem to have trouble getting off to sleep. It does feel like it's happening to someone else at the moment. Good Luck

2 weeks to go Olivia wooooooo!!! Have you taken some before pics? I've taken loads! Some without a bra and some with my fav bra (which is a bit too big for me) then after I'm going to do the same so I can always look back and compare, you forget so quickly how much you've changed, I wish I'd done it the first time xxxxx

Re: January Buddies!
Thats a good idea Tori, not sure if i want photographic evidence of before though lol. Funnily enough alot of my girlfriends (and their hubbies) want a before and after peek and squeeze
Like you say i will probably forget the way i looked very quickly, so i think i will he he.
I bought one of those MandS sports bras the other day and it was very tight on the band already, so i thought i best get a couple of different ones too. I don't want it making things more uncomfortable than they already will be. Any suggestions of a different one?
Are you getting excited or nervous? xxxxx

Olivia, have a chat with AngelEmma - she bought some M&S sports bras and just didn't find them comfortable - so she bought the M&S post surgery bras, which she found much more comfortable - see the last message on page 8 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Re: January Buddies!
Hi Carrie - I told my mum tonight - finally - I just didn'tt ge the chance to over Christmas for us to be on our own- unfortunatley it was on the phone as she is going away over NY & I didn't want to wait until she came back. After an initial disappointed "oh", I went on & explained how I've felt over the past years etc & she was lovely - she just wants what it right for me. Luckily she's had an op at the hospital I'm going to so she knows they are excellent. So, phew - that's the last major hurdle done - I'll let the kids know I'm, getting some new boobies the day before. We've got friends staying over NY but I just want to be able to go to M&S & get one of the post surgery bras rather than entertain - god they are our best friends - just shows how obsessed I am!!!
Just put this avatar up yesterday - not sure - any views (I guess I'm saying I'd like to chest like catwoman's!!!)

Re: January Buddies!
I haven't even thought about the post op bra!!! Totally forgot. I've seen some in Asda George before so I'll probably give them a whirl.
I'm really exited to have big boobies, I'm not nervous at all, I'm quite looking forward to the GA to be honest, I think I'm addicted to it!! Whenever I have an op I willingly jump onto the bed and smile as the GA drifts me off aaaahhh! Sorry I'm sounding weird lol but I just love being put to sleep!
Oh and as for the before and after pics, I feel the same, don't want anyone to see them before so what I've done is uploaded them to my laptop and erased from my camera, and put them in a hidden file so nobody will even know they're there, not even bf hehe.
Well done to you lilibet for telling mum!

Re: January Buddies!
I think it is natural to have these feelings hunnie - after all, it's not every day that we would contemplate spending around £4000 on just ourselves. If you have done your research and chosen your surgeon based on reports of others and how you yourself found him, then there is little that can go wrong and I'm sure you will awaken from the GA, look down at your new boobies and think they are now lovely - and that is only the beginning. As they drop and fluff, you will become so pleased and proud of them.
So please don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine for you

Can't believe it's 'our month' and, Emma and Sofee, can't believe we're next OMG! How you both feeling? I've likened how I feel to getting onto a rollercoaster and part of me wants to get off and another part knows I need to find out what happens next
And happy new year everyone, or as my husband put it, "Here's to big things in 2011!" xxx

Re: January Buddies!
Wow ToriLoula, hope your feeling well enough to go back to work on Tuesday - there's some nasty bugs going round, may take you a little longer to shift that flu! I haven't gone back to work yet since baby no2 18 months ago, so that's been one less thing to worry about. My hubby has taken a week of work and my mum will be around to help in the 2nd week. Not sure what to expect, seems to vary so much from what I've read on here I read that Deedees recovery went really well and she's got 2 young kids I think, so hoping I'll be the same, we'll see ...

Re: January Buddies!
Carrie I was joking about the flu, I meant I'm going to call in sick Friday and Monday just to give me a bit of a rest, if I need longer I'll do the same, they don't know about the BA.
And don't worry about the recovery, well the first time I had mine done I stayed in overnight cos I went to Manchester but luckily I'm going somewhere close so I can have a day case, anyway the day I got home I was just a bit 'druggy' and tired but the night after that I went out to the pub/restraunt for drinks and a meal, I was absolutely fine, no pain or anything! I can't really say it was painfull at all to be honest, just 'tight' if you know what I mean? I was able to do everything apart from pick my kids up cos I didn't want to upset the boobs. My boyfriend was there to do all that though, and now we have a third so he'll be doing the same again lol.
Don't worry they give you lots of painkillers, I didn't take mine very long cos it just didn't hurt!

wow ToriLoula, what a revcovery - hope to god mine is like that - I have taken a week off, op is next Monday (11th) - so this time next week I'll have a fine new set of assets!! Some of the girls on here seem to have such a long recovery, I can't take any more time off so will have to make the absolute most of next week with OH to look after me!
