Sleeping - When can I lie flat?
I'm about 16 days in now and I'm just wondering when I can sleep lying down. My nurse said a week ago I can start to gradually work my way down from a sitting up position to lying flat.
At the moment when I go to bed I'm slightly propped up but when I wake up in the morning I'm lying flat. I've got the infamous morning boob I've read so much about but I just wanted to make sure I'm not rushing things.
xx

I slept normal after 2 weeks hun, if you end up lying flat and your nurse said it's ok, then just go with whatever is comfortable
Re: Sleeping - When can I lie flat?
If you're comfortable hun then you're fine at 16 days post-op sweetie. xx

IF you're comfy then sleep flat. I was probably about 2 weeks when I slept flat.

As long as you feel comfy then your ok after 2 weeks but I had problems with swelling up if i laid flat & i woke up feeling really owchy! & it took a while to settle.

Re: Sleeping - When can I lie flat?
I only managed to sleep propped up for a few days I constantly worked my way down in my sleep no matter how many pillows I put around me. I would think you will be ok at your stage if you are comfortable and if you seem to get more swelling in the morning just give it a little longer x

My goodness, this is something else to consider! I naturally sleep on my front with just one pillow and find it difficult to sleep in any other position never mind sat up!!

There's no need to sleep 'sat up' at all hun, you can lie down, you just need to ensure your head and shoulders are raised above your chest. xx
