Spitting stitch? Empty Spitting stitch?

Post by kittie 28th August 2010, 7:13 pm

I was changing my steristrips this morning when I noticed that I have what looks like a little piece of plastic poking out of the scar on left boobie. Pretty sure this is a spitting stitch and wondering if it's okay to leave it to do its own thing, or should I go see nurse and maybe have it trimmed? Spitting stitch? 267328

I was feeling so great and now I'm stressing . Sensible side says it's not a huge deal but a little part of me is jumping to all sorts of crazy conclusions.... Spitting stitch? 751387

It's no biggie Kittoe, don't worry, sometimes the stitch works it's way out all on it's own babe, but if it's still there after a couple of days, a quick call to the clinic to ask the nurse if it needs snipping to take it out is all it needs. xx

I've gone one too hunni - not sore and can't actually see anything, but there's a very tiny lump with a jaggy bit in the middle... kinda feels like when you run your finger over a piece of raw fish and feel a little bone... if that make sense?

Yeah, doesn't hurt and just feels and looks like a wee bit of plastic. Had a bit of a sharp pain in that area earlier but will takes cookie's advice. See what happens in next few days and if it's still there will see the nurse.
