Think I can see a stitch!!!!
oh god, so slightly freaking out! Just checked my incisions as this morning part of the scab came off as it got caught on bra when I was taking it off. (One end of th scab was hanging off, other end wasn't ready!)
So just looked and now I can see a white dot, looked closer with a hand mirror and it looks like white cotton! Would this be a stitch?!
I've just rung clinic and waiting for a nurse to ring me back. Freaking Out! Scar healing has been going so well!!!!!

Re: Think I can see a stitch!!!!
Nurse has said that as I have dissolvable stitches, the stitch is dissolving from the inside and has just worked out a little bit. It looks like it's the place where she snipped them, so may have been like that anyway and I've only just seen because scab come off. She said to cover it with a plaster (obviously only dressing part on the scar!) and to check it in a few days. I'm seeing her next friday anyway but I can go up beforehand if I want to.
Feel a bit better but still feel a bit sick at the thought of it!

Re: Think I can see a stitch!!!!
Its fine, calm down and breath!! Its probably a spitting stich, perfectly normal! Its just where it works its way to the top of the incision. It can just be trimmed back by a nurse. Don't touch it yourself, just make sure you keep it clean and dry so as to avoid any infection. Your nurse will tell you exactly what to do, but don't panic! Plenty of girls get this

Keep it covered & don't look at it if it makes you feel squeamish, nurse will probably trim it when you next see her , it may even have worked it's own way out by then. XXX

I had a couple of spitting stitches round my nipples, the buyers trimmed them and they eventually worked their way out. Font panic all perfectly normal
