ive got a stitch just starting to poke its was out (or at least I'm guessing that's what it is anyway) I know it's quite common in the first few weeks PO so I'm not overly concerned, I will just keep my eye on it and not use my bio oil until it's gone and I know there's no hole or anything.

What I was wondering though is how common it is this far down the line, I'm about 11 weeks now, all the posts I've found about it seem to be much earlier on?

Thanks x

Stitches can take months to heal/dissolve, 12+ weeks really, so if it's wiggling it's way out now, that's a good thing. Take extra care, no moisture or oils, blow dry it after showers, and don't be tempted to pull it out! It'll work its own way. If it doesn't, pop to your gp and have a nurse trim it back.

Thanks again Charlii, it always seems to be you that comes to my rescue with advice lol. I will keep my eye on it for now, it's not red or sore or anything so hopefully it will just work its own way out. How long does it usually take do you know, days or weeks? x

I'm not sure to be honest. I'd think a couple days? Let's say give it a week, unless it gets worse? Seems to be a standard answer!! Try searching 'spitting stiches' in the bar, might bring up something helpful!
