Re: Hi just found out I have PIPs
Hi, I found out on Friday I have these PIP implants through my Surgeon. I had mine in September 2004 and at present they are still in tact, however am finding it increasingly worrying that at any minute they could just go and a lot of money flushed down the drain as it were! My personal opinion is that we entrusted ourselves in these surgeons hands and whether they were mislead or not, the blame certainly doesn't lie with us so why should we either have to pay out more money for something that is not our fault or what I consider to be even worse, just have them taken out completely!! I have to say that at the age of 30 I do not want to be disfigured for the rest of my life!! I will be contacting Hugh James Solicitors tomorrow because surely the more of us there are, the more chance we have of succeeding with being compensated by having safe implants put in rather than the ones we currently have.

Hi Deb,
I'm sorry to hear you have PIP implants, you have nothing to lose by contacting Hugh James for advice and/or help. Contacting them will clear up any doubt you have about where you stand and help you make a decision on where you go from here.
Its just as difficult for the ladies having no symptoms to know what to do because you were happy until this information came to light.
I was happy with my breast augmentation for 7 years until I started to feel pain in my breasts. There was no warning before this that there was a problem.
Everyones situation concerning the implants is different and only until you get legal advice will you know what the best thing is for you to do about it.
Take Care, MissP.

Re: Hi just found out I have PIPs
Welcome to the forum hun, so sorry you are having to go through this, it's terrible that a company cared more for it's profit than the people it was supplying implants for. Take care hun and I hope you can get this sorted.
Re: Hi just found out I have PIPs
I have PIPs too, and am awaiting an appointment for an Ultrasound. The surgery I had mine done at advised I contact Cloverleaf!!! I said no way hosay...by doing that they are trying to shift the liability to the company they bought them from. I explained that my contract is with the hospital/surgeon that I was implanted by not with the wholesaler they purchased them from! The Lengths they will go to wriggle out of their accountability.
It is a scary time for all if us with PIPs. Can I ask have you had an ultrasound to detecy that they are still intact?
