Hi Ladies
I'm booked to have my BA next Sunday 6th April and I'm getting really excited & feeling nervous & anxious too x
I have a small cold last week & now I have an irritating little cough, I'm so worried that they won't let me have my op if it doesn't go

They won't let you have the op if you have a chest infection/chesty cough. Sounds like you have a dry/tickly cough, which shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't have temperature.  Ring up the nurse in Transform clinic and ask if you can have some cough medicine or it will interfere with anaesthetic.
I hope you feel well soon xxx

I just updated my progress on a new thread- glad it's a a weekend.

My boobs are healing well and love them to bits. So glad I had them done and picked the right surgeon for the job :)

As long as its not a full blown infection it should be fine. Id recommend getting a load of lozenges for post op though, if you've still got the cough its going to hurt!

I have spoken to the clinic nurse & she has advised lots of lemon & honey, paracetamol fruit veg, lots of fluids but medicines not recommended, to be honest it's a lot better & I think most of it is hayfever x she is going to call me on Friday just to check how I am x

I had a cold on the day but aslong as it not in the chest or infection and your obs are ok then you will be good to go, I remember my surgeon saying at 2 consultations that if I had a chesty cough or he did then he just does not operate as he takes no chance of infection that can be avided

the fresh lemon and honey in some cool boiled water is great with some paracetamol, anything you have will soon shift xx
