'Recovery' Bra
Hi Ladies, me again lol
I have my one week check on Tues for my stitches etc and I have been told to buy 2 sports bras (different sizes) to take to this appointment so that they can fit me into a new bra afterwards. They have recommended the M&S zip front sports bra (which I know a lot of you have also recommended) but they seem to be discontinuing them so I cannot get them in the right size :(
I'm looking for a zip front sports bra like it but want to make sure that it has the correct support etc. After paying so much for my new boobs I don't want to mess about with the healing process by getting something ill-fitting and not supportive enough.
I have found a zip front shock absorber here: http://www.shockabsorber.co.uk/en/products/active-range/active-zipped-plunge/
Does this seem appropriate?
Are there any others that you lovely ladies recommend as a decent alternative to the zip front M&S sports bra

Re: 'Recovery' Bra
I can only talk from research ive done as still pre ba but have always seen the shock absorber has excellent recommendations from the ladies here so if its a zip up bra your looking for then that looks perfect! Sad to hear about the M&S bras!! I already have brought a few but im sure the shock absorber will be great too :) xx

Re: 'Recovery' Bra
Thanks Cookie!
I've just checked it out and they don't have one of the sizes I'm after :(. They've given me two sizes to buy and then I'll return the one that's no good.
Great find :)

Re: 'Recovery' Bra
No problem babe. Hope from the ones you've ordered that one will be good for you. Xx
Re: 'Recovery' Bra
Just to add - M&S discontinued their zip front line about 3 years ago and I was gutted because I lived in them after my first BA. But all they did was discontinued the old line and brought in a new and improved one... So hopefully they'll just be bringing out new designs of the same bra. X
Re: 'Recovery' Bra
Hey hun, I've got that shock absorber one in a 34d- however I find my m&s zip up one a lot more comfortable! Hope one fits well and all goes well on Tuesday for you post op :) xx

Hi there, I recently brought an m and s zip front sports bra, they had lots. It's black with bit of animal print around edges.... So they have still got them.

hi hun,
macom all the way, then you won't need to mess around with sizes!
it does up at the front too so you don't have to strain your arms too much trying to close a back fastening one.
if you use the promo code 'mybreast' on the macom medical website, you'll get 15% off as well x

Re: 'Recovery' Bra
my friend told me not to waste money on expensive bra's and that cheap ones from Asda are just as good, been wondering where you can get front fastening ones. Does Asda sell them? xx

Re: 'Recovery' Bra
Thanks for the link Cookie! Just purchased two a D and a DD
Ive been really lucky with bargain bras the current one they have fit on me is a shock absorber 34D (i went up a band to allow for swelling) in the sale in Debenhams for £9 not the best colour but i really dont care, the nurse just told me to get a 32 band as soon as possible.

Toast do you mind me asking what sizes they advised you to get? As we're quite similar in sizes I think and having the same implants.. Xx

Of course not :)
They asked me to bring in a 32B and 32C. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the C lol the nurse who was helping me on the day of my op said that she'd be very surprised if I wasn't a full C (that's what I was hoping for).
I'll be happy either way though to be honest, at least I know I've gone as big as I can for my frame whilst also staying natural. Can't ask much more than that :)

Love my Macom, its really nice and cool in this ridiculous heat! I feel really comfy in it and it seems to give alot of support, with compression where i need it.
